I am writing to report a critical instability issue with my NSPanel Pro 120 running firmware version 4.2.2 (Beta).
The Symptom:
The device enters a continuous restart loop (crash/boot loop) immediately after adding third-party (non-Sonoff) Matter devices to the system.
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
To rule out other factors, I have:
1. Assigned Static IPs to all devices on my router.
2. Performed a full Factory Reset on the NSPanel Pro.
3. Ensured the network connection is stable (2.4GHz).
The Result:
Despite a clean install, the reboot loop persists as long as any third-party Matter device is paired. The moment I remove these third-party Matter devices from the NSPanel Pro, the crashing stops, and the device becomes stable again.
Conclusion:
It appears there is a severe bug in the v4.2.2 firmware regarding the Matter driver compatibility with other brands. The device cannot handle the status updates from these devices and crashes.
We would appreciate it if you could include a solution for the Matter compatibility issue in the next stable release.
Here are the specific models of the third-party Matter devices causing the issue:
1. MOES Matter Wi-Fi Smart Plug 16A (Model: EU16M)
2. Meross Matter Smart Power Strip (Model: MSP844)
3. Meross Matter Smart Plug (Model: MSS315)
Testing Details:
I have tested these devices individually. The continuous reset loop is triggered if any single one of these devices is paired. It does not require multiple devices to be connected simultaneously; adding just one of them is enough to crash the system.
The boot loop stops, and the NSPanel Pro becomes stable again, only after I remove these devices completely.
Context: the HA Companion is the Home app, and the Assistive button is disabled.
I restart the panel from the eWeLink app, and the HA Companion is started, but:
the Assistive button is displayed
The panel is offline in the eWeLink app
It seems that the āmainā app which handles the assistive button show/hide status and the eWeLink connection isnāt launchedā¦
one more thing, one of my panels show a Firmware update running in the eWeLink app but is already up-to-date in the panel settings: is there a way to reset the firmware update status?
Thank you for the video. We have identified the issue and it is expected to be resolved in version 4.3.0 (releasing on January 8). We appreciate your feedback once again.
Regarding the APP persistently showing the device as āupgrading,ā you can try refreshing the homepage in the APP. If the display still does not match the actual status, please submit feedback in the eWeLink app via Profile > Feedback & Help .
Hi, I became a beta tester to try to solve the problem of the detached relay not working on zbminir2 thinking that the problem was the NS PANEL PRO 120 then I discovered that it was the deviceās fault as reported by other users. (I hope for a quick resolution as I replaced the old minir2 Wi-Fi) I urgently need to report that my device id 10026d2078 continues to disconnect after the update with the Android system freezing and continuous rebooting.
Sorry for the issue. Is it possible to submit a log on your NSPanel Pro device through Top drop-down menu -> Settings -> About -> Feedback -> Submit?
If not, you will have to reset your NSPanel Pro through Top drop-down menu -> Settings -> About -> Reset.
By the way, can you recall when did this Android system freezing and continuous rebooting occur? Like when what setting was changed, what operation was done, what device was added, etc.
Thanks for your reply. Feedback sent. 16 Zigbee devices are paired. When the system freezes, it starts to become slow in responding to touch commands, then shuts down and restarts with the SonOff message. In the last few hours it hasnāt done it anymore. Now, from the eWeLink app, I notice that the devices have frequent disconnections and donāt even respond from the panel, then randomly they resume functioning without any reboot. There are no connection problems.
Hello, I am a new user. Before the December updates everything worked fine but after the updates, I canāt control the th16v.2 from the panel (I can normally control it through the application) I updated the panel to the beta version but the problem remains
Your NSPanel Pro is running v4.1.3 firmware, right? You can update it to v4.2.2 if you have opted-in beta test program. Please check the latest firmware through Settings -> About -> Software Update on your NSPanel Pro device.
If the issue still exists in v4.2.2 firmware, please submit the log again and let me know.
