Beta Instability

Beta versions may contain bugs, instability, or performance issues. Avoid using them on production or mission-critical devices.

Known Issues

  • Matter Hub may behave unpredictably.
  • RTSP camera streaming is still being optimized and may not play properly.
  • No Web Shortcut. Please install Home Assistant companion app and Webview Kiosk app for corresponding function.

thanks, it’s done :+1: .

I’m now on 4.0.12. f-droid with home assistant works well but i have trouble to create a Fdroid app shortcut on panel. Is it possible ?

We will implement a feature called App Screen within Top drop-down menu in v4.2.0 which will list all installed apps from F-Droid.

Would it be enough for your usage scenario? Do you prefer put the app icon in Home Screen? Or you actually want Home Assistant companion app to be the Home App, aka. Launcher.

Hi michael,
just having the app icon could be enough at start. It’s to avoid going parameters→ fdroid → searching home assistant to launch the app.

OK, i did a funny tricks…
from home assistant you could change Home App and set home assistant instead of Nspanel. Reboot your nspanel and now it’s start with home assistant companion app.

I’m unable to change the Zigbee mode from Router to Hub. It says “Sorry, no response. Please try again“. It fails on all 7 NSPanel Pro devices (all on App 4.1.2 / OS 4.0.12). There is no way for me to pair a Zigbee device with NSPanel Pro. When will that be fixed?

Yes, this works. But in the current firmware, setting Home Assistant companion app as Home App will disable many built-in features (built in NSPanelPro App), such as Zigbee, Matter Bridge, eWeLink-Remote, and even the integration with Home Assistant OS through MQTT. We will fix this in v4.2.0.

Sorry for the issue.

Would you please send me the Device ID of your NSPanel Pro (one ID is enough) through private message? And at the same time, please:

  • Submit a log on the NSPanel Pro device through Top drop-down menu -> Settings -> About -> Feedback -> Submit.
  • Submit a log on eWeLink App through Profile -> Help & Feedback -> Feedback (top right corner) -> Submit Feedback.

We’ll fix it ASAP.

Great to know. Thanks michael.

Hi, we’ve already fixed this issue in the newly released v4.1.3. Please try updating your device and see if it works properly now. We’re very sorry for the impact this had on your normal use of the feature.

Hello,

I’ve tried updating from 4.1.2 to 4.1.3 but it aborts and boots to recovery.

what should i do?

OK, another issue I discovered now: Paral-sync can’t discover or connect to any of my NSPanel Pro (yes, I did click “Device name” 7 times in 10s in “Settings>About” on NSPanel Pro to enable the access token).

Hi, sorry for the issue.

Para Sync Add-on requires Open API of NSPanel Pro to function, but Open API hasn’t been implemented properly in v4.1.x firmware. As a workaround, you can use eWeLink Smart Home Add-on to export all Zigbee devices from NSPanel Pro to eWeLink CUBE OS on iHost.

Hello, I have two NS Pro panels. One has no problems, but the other just won’t update in any way. It’s stuck on 3.4.0. I’ve tried all the methods described on the forum except for a total reset (5x reset at startup). Is that the only way to update it? I’m afraid of the risk of bricking it. Also, I can’t register this panel in the beta tests, while the other one is fine. The ID of the worse one is NSPanel Pro 86 1001f4546d, firmware CK-RKPX30-NSP-02.
