Guys, in 6 days sonoff guys are entering chinese new year’s eve, they most probably all leave for a couple of weeks, since it’s the only chance during the year for them to have their days off, better to think twice before upgrading to 4.4.0, it’s just my opinion
Report the error via ewelink app and it is true that these outages last a very long time. The same problem exists with zbb. Either they are using the same library that is faulty or they are looking for errors in the wrong places.
Do you happen to use the screen saver or standby mode function?
If so, try not using them and always displaying your screen to see if that helps.
NSPP 4.3.3, problem with ZB devices. Connection lost for hours, then online for a while. Disabling screensaver helped a lot. It did not solved the problem, but it is much better.
Just to be on the safe side, I won’t update from 4.3.3 because it probably worked better
, it also lost connection with zigbee devices, but not to this extent. ![]()
By the way, the problem has remained unresolved for a long time.
Despite assurances that it will disappear in the next version ![]()

Every update seems to break zigbee lately
. I think i’ll move all my devices to the zbBridgeUltra and just use NSPanels as routers.
Also think about this solution, but I am not sure if it helps. IMHO depends where the faulty code is. Even as a router, is stil can loose ZB connection.
But I already moved all devices (where possible) to ZBBridge Pro and it works well. But other part of the house is covered by NSPP only at the moment.
Think of Zigbee light bulb(s), as the cheapest solution to expand ZB coverage.
Such improvisations are useless. This problem has been here for a long time, when I was wondering if Android in nspp does not sleep the process responsible for the Zigbee gateway. But the same is missing in zgb, maybe there is a bug in their server.
For me, the nspp are due to ZB outages and the non-functional matter is just a piece of scrap metal on the wall.
I doubt someone will fix the issue over the weekend so I need to improvise something… I had no connectivity issues on the zbBridge-U, the only reason I moved some of the devices on the nspp is that I have a lot of zigbee devices and once I paired around 40 on the zbBridge-U I couldn’t add any more, but this was a few firmware versions back, maybe it’s fixed now. I have thermostats, temperature sensors and door/window sensors which will total about 70 devices on the zbBridge-U. Has anyone tested with this many devices on one unit? I have no other routers except 3 * nspp.
Can anyone confirm that zbminiL2 will extend my zigbee network? I have a few laying around since I replaced all of them with TX ultimate switches. I am thinking about connecting them to the power line just to improve my coverage. Is this a good ideea?
I have improved my zigbee network with minir2 and they work flawlessly. I don’t know if it’s a good idea what you want to do.
I managed to add 71 devices on the ultra. I only synced 9 trvzb to home assistant over mqtt. Unfortunately same $h!T. It loses connection after a while. I can see them fine in eWeLink but not in HA. They really need to work things out cause this is very frustrating.
Lately, every update is a pure risk.
Hello, I also had problems with Zigbee, but in the end I bought a Zg bridge pro and now I have peace of mind. Zero problems.
My smart home gets dumber with every firmware update. It took about 2 hours to pair and configure 71 devices to the zbBridge-U, then trying to debug why it was loosing connection or cloning entities in mqtt. This weekend I had to manually check the temperature sensors, turn on the thermostatic valves and switch on the flame in my gas heating system. Pure nightmare. I think v4.3.2 was the most stable.
I hope they find a fix soon for both NSPP and zbBridge-U, or maybe it’s time to migrate everything to Home Assistant on their zigbee bridge.
I’m afraid this will happen not so soon, I suppose they are now enjoying their new year’s eve holydays and most probably they will be back to us not before early march
My customers and I have similar problems. I am not connecting any other Sonoff products at the moment. I can’t keep fixing the devices due to failed updates.
I don’t even believe they’ll fix it. I’ll probably write my own alternative to Home Assistants.
If you are using trvzb you need to transport them over mqtt, otherwise you cannot controll them (they don’t expose the entities in the API, so only solution is mqtt).
I was using iHost and nspp served as a screen. Matter bridge in iHost doesn’t work so it doesn’t work anymore. Zbb u and nspp sometimes lose connection and it’s very stupid when you need to heat.
