Bug Fixes & Gratitude

In the v4.1.0 release, we’ve fixed several known issues. Special thanks to users who provided valuable feedback on our community forum. Their reports helped us quickly identify and resolve these issues. Below are some of the fixed bugs with their respective feedback links:

  • "Home Page Temperature & Humidity Source” Display Issue(Fixed display issue on some devices):
When using a single temperature sensor as the NSPanel Pro home page temperature & humidity source, the “humidity” field displayed as “–”.

  • Screen Lock After Inputting RTSP Camera URL:
Setting the screen saver timeout to 15s caused the screen to lock when inputting an RTSP camera URL, and it couldn’t be unlocked.

  • OTA File Not Deleted:
OTA updates did not delete old firmware packages, leading to increasing storage usage with each update.

We sincerely thank all users who reported issues! If you encounter any new problems after upgrading, please feel free to post in the forum or contact our support team. Your feedback is the driving force behind our progress.

Conclusion

The v4.1.0 firmware update brings more possibilities to NSPanel Pro. Whether it’s cross-platform integration or customizable control, this release is designed to meet your smart home needs.

Please upgrade now to experience the new features! If you have any questions during the upgrade process, feel free to discuss in this forum topic or provide feedback to us.

Thank you again for your support, and let’s build a smarter home together!

I’ve updated my nspanel pro but in ewlink app–>nspanelpro–>settings I don’t see matter bridge or home assistant options, instead on the device I can see the matter bridge option

Is a version of the app newer than 5.20.1 required for what you’re reporting? If so, when will it be available?

You’re absolutely right. The features mentioned here do require the newer version V5.21.0. If you are an Android user, it should become available for update in about two days.

Hi, these features require the eWeLink app v5.21.0 to work; please be patient as you should receive an update notification in approximately two days.

Cannot confirm temperature sensor bug as solved. Temperature from TH Origin (no humidity data) used in picture.

It was the same for me, but after the latest update, the “empty” humidity reading no longer appears on the screen.

Oh well, I’ll wait.
Is your guide available anywhere outside the forum? It would be great to have a mini portal with all the information about changes and new features in NSPanel Pro, ideally with its own URL (like ewelink.cc/nspanel-pro/). Otherwise, it might disappear into the depths of the forum, and that would be a shame.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

We’ve received reports about this issue and have made it a priority. In the latest update, we’ve successfully deployed a fix for a range of devices—including the TRVZB and SN-02LD—to resolve the problem for as many users as possible.

However, due to time constraints in this release cycle, we had to roll out the fix in stages. This means the update for the THR3, TH10/16 series is still pending. Please rest assured that a complete fix will be provided in an upcoming version.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this issue for all users as soon as possible.

Great news! Thanks for the confirmation. We’re thrilled to hear that the fix is up and running on your device.

Thanks again and have a great day!

Thank you very much for explanation, looking forward for next release.

Btw, for TH Origin series, I would appreciate to see switch status ON/OF plus value from sensor. So you can keep two fields.

@fedpalo @jam3 Thank you very much for trying out the new features.

You can now download eWeLink Android App v5.21.0 from this URL or the following QR code:

Please let us know if you encounter any issues.

Could you please provide some photos to show the current status displayed on the device?

I’m using the THR316D device, and its power switch status along with the temperature and humidity readings are all normal.

Thank you, but unfortunately I’m on iOS, when the new version will be released for apple user?

Thank you. Looks like NSPanel Pro is now acting like a ZBBridge-U with Matter sync — nice move! Let me take a quick look at how it plays with MQTT. I’ll let you know soon how it goes.

@MichaelLearnsToCode @JoJo
Update: I started MQTT using the new version of the app. I have a number of observations.
I’ve noticed that NSPanel Pro publishes the Zigbee device state to MQTT only when a parameter changes, for example, state, temperature, etc. As a result, after restarting Home Assistant or the MQTT broker, entities remain without values until the device sends a new update. MQTT publications use retain: false, so the broker does not store the last known state.
To fix this, it would be helpful if NSPanel Pro (or Zigbee2CUBE) published device states with retain: true. This way, Home Assistant could automatically retrieve the last known state after a restart, without needing to manually query each device.
Alternatively, could NSPanel Pro respond to homeassistant/status or broker/status and publish device states upon reconnect?

In its current form, the MQTT integration between NSPanel Pro and Home Assistant is unreliable and of limited practical use.

Wow, this is quite professional :+1:

I’ll talk to our dev team, and we should be able to dress this in v4.1.1.

Yeah, this is a perfect case that a built-in Web Interface (not a seperate eWeLink App. Even worse, seperate eWeLink Android App and eWeLink iOS App) works better when new features are released. @jam3 @ociepa.ekotox

Thank you for taking an interest in this issue. I hope a sensible solution can be implemented to mitigate this limitation. I’d be happy to switch to MQTT communication already, but the need to wait for NSPanel Pro to publish entity states after Home Assistant restarts dampens my enthusiasm. It usually takes long enough that using temperature readings from Zigbee sensors paired with the panel becomes impractical for automations — not only in HA, but also in other integrations, such as publishing weather data to an e-paper display used for ambient information.

Unfortunately, despite various attempts and ideas, I haven’t been able to create a mechanism that forces entity state publication. Once the states are published, everything works very smoothly and reliably. But until then, the entire infrastructure dependent on the panel remains in limbo. Therefore, I have to stick with the SonoffLAN integration and rely on cloud-based communication.

Regards.
