No operation required.

Tutorial 2: Enhanced Home Assistant Integration via MQTT

You can now play audio directly on NSPanel Pro from Home Assistant — either by selecting a pre-uploaded audio file or entering a URL to stream.

  1. In the App, go to NSPanel Pro > Device Settings > Home Assistant > Click Get Started. After completing the MQTT Broker configuration,NSPanel Pro will automatically connect to the Home Assistant platform previously configured.

  2. Once connected, you can view and control NSPanel Pro in Home Assistant. The newly added supported functions include:

    • Button: Mic Start/Stop Recording – Start/Stop recording.
    • Select: Spkr Select NSPanelPro Audio – Select audio to play on the speaker.
    • Button: Spkr Play/Stop – Start/Stop audio playback on NSPanel Pro speaker.
    • switch: Wake on Proximity – Enable/disable.
These entities can be used in Home Assistant automations.

  • App Operation Steps:

    1. Navigate to NSPanel Pro > Device Settings > Do Not Disturb.

    2. Toggle Do Not Disturb on.

    3. Schedules: Set start/end times for automatic activation.

    4. Notification Exceptions: Select which categories (e.g., Security Alarm, Device Status Changes…) are allowed to wake the screen or play alert sounds during Do Not Disturb mode.

    5. Save settings.

  • NSPanel Pro Screen Operation Steps:
On the panel, only “Do Not Disturb mode” can be enabled or disabled; configuration options are not directly supported on the device screen.

Hello again.

After the last update to version 4.4.0, I noticed:

one panel started to heat up and make sounds like tapping on the screen (10022e4e38).

A similar situation, but without heating, occurred with panels 10022e4eba and 10022e4ebe.

Hi guys

Thank you for the update and to listen to all our requests. I know the system is not perfect yet but we getting there. I personally use home assistant as my main app as I have many devices but I love the nspanel screensaver, with latest version I can now have the screensaver active and wake up the screen in home assistant mode just by waving my hand I also made an automation in HA to wake screen up if door bell or any other cameras sensor triggers off. @jojo One question that I have not understood and I need help to setup my Sonos speakers I see you guys added support for this but no too sure how to pair them.

Again thank you for your work

Hello. I’m testing the new TRVZB adaptive mode, but my heating isn’t turning off when it should. Currently my heating is set at 19°C, but two rooms are at 20°C and still heating. To stop this, I had to turn the heating off and then enable the schedule again.

This happened again today. I’ve submitted feedback.

I appreciate the NS Panel Pro 120; I hope the MQTT instability issue has been resolved. Adding the proximity sensor to Home Assistant is wonderful. Is it possible to increase the detection distance from 30cm to 60cm? My panel is in a hallway, and a distance of 60cm would be perfect for detecting people passing by. Keep up the good work.

Hello guys, First of all, thank you in advance for your effort and for the update.
After the update, the first issue I experienced is that the NSPanel Pro started making strange “tick tick tick” sounds. This happens whether the screensaver is active, while navigating the menus, or even when I’m watching the cameras.
When this occurs, restarting the device sometimes stops the noise temporarily, but lately this issue has become more frequent and it has started to bother me.
I have just sent you feedback about this issue as well.

I’m hearing tap sound, too. I think thats because of the new poximity wakeup feature. (I don’t know if there is a real sensor or they just do some light sensor magic.)

When connecting the panel via mqtt to home assistant, you’re getting a new control and sensor for this feature.

When the control is on and the display is off, the display wakes up when I’m near to it. And I can hear the tap sound. When the control off, the display stays off and no tap sound appears.

I hate the sound, whether it’s from taping or waking up. I was happy to discover that it can be disabled (Settings > Advanced Settings > Sound > Touch Sounds).

How can I add my Sonos speakers? Is there a step by step guide for this?

Is the new feature that the LCD is still lit and the speaker is popping!

I was hearing that whenever my hand went near the screen. I’ve turned off the ‘Wake on Proximity’, and it’s stopped. Mine seemed to be very sensitive, as it turned the screen on when I entered the room.

I also have this “clicking” sound. When I disable “Wake on Proximity,” it goes away. I suspect these are the touch tones from Android when you tap.

And in Home Assistant, its flapping

Exactly. I think when “Wake on” is enabled, a tap is simulated to activate the display (or keep it activated). Thats why we hear the tap sound.

When you’ve disabled the sound (like I discribed above), the “Wake on” works like before but the sound doesn’t appear.

What does turbo do?

Did you manage to play sound on the device?

Thank you

hello sonoff staff dear,

I have nspanel pro ver 3.4.1

but, my device not responce via running system update

can you help me?

my device id 10023a837c

@mario.georgiev For now, you can bind Sonos by adding a third-party service in eWeLink Web. Once successfully linked, you can sync your Sonos speakers to NSPanelPro via the eWeLink app for use (Sonos service binding is expected to be supported in the next version of the app).

Another important note: This feature requires a membership on the web platform.

Hi, you can obtain the latest version through this beta application tool.

I understand your usage scenario. However, the proximity sensor currently used by NSPanelPro reports changes only when an object approaches, but it does not report the specific distance. Therefore, for now, it is not possible to restrict this function based on distance.

Thank you for your feedback. This is indeed an issue (it may have been overlooked during development due to the noisy office environment). We plan to optimize it in the next version of NSPanelPro.

As @danielk117 mentioned, for now, you can go to Settings > Advanced Settings > Sound > Touch Sounds to disable it and resolve the issue.Thank you for the suggested solution.
