NSPanel Pro Roadmap and Co-Created Future

Thank you very much for your feedback. Since you have mentioned it, I’d like to take this opportunity to share a little bit of our roadmap for the hardware (I can’t say too much because it may change ):

  1. New 86 Type with 2 relays in April 2026
  2. New 120 Type with 2 relays before July 2026
  3. New 8-inch Type with relays (not sure 2 or 3) before October 2026

The above-mentioned three new pieces of hardware will all run the same software that we are currently developing.

Wow! That’s almost a TV set! On something like this you can quite comfortably display and operate any dashboard
Should it be understood that this can be mounted in a standard wall box, either European or Chinese?

It should be. But we haven’t finalised the design yet. That’s why I said I can’t say too much

Of course

Wow, this is fantastic news! While many users prefer larger screens, the Type 86 is still an excellent product line - it pairs perfectly with Sonoff’s wall switches and scene controllers. It’s ideal for displaying information and notifications rather than full dashboard controlls (which also helps keep curious kids from changing settings ). At home, we use a similar setup in every room, and it works - and looks - beautifully.

P.S. I just wish for proximity sensor..

This could be an interesting device. I hope the screen mount won’t be permanently attached to the power box. The screen should be able to be mounted next to the box, just like you can now with a tablet.

Great news. I can’t wait, I want to test it

I cant change to Repeater mode. This will be fixed soon? :ok_hand:

The router function is unavailable in the current development 4.x.x firmware. It will return in v4.3.0, scheduled for January 8th, 2026. Scroll to the very top of the page where the NSPanel Pro product manager (@JoJo) mentions this (Roadmap). For now, this feature is a no‑go. It’s visible in the App, but it doesn’t work because it only applies to the official firmware version 3.x.x.

Excited to hear of larger screen & one with relays in the works.

I have recomendation for new feature. Not sure if it falls under NSPanel developement, but… Will try.

I use TH Origin which has Log - you can see when it was triggered ON/OFF and if it was done be user od smart scene. But, It does not say WHICH smart scene (but already says which user). Would it be possible to add this info? At least for Thermostat. Something like “Smart Scene (Thermostat X) triggered ON”.

I like this log, it is great feature which allows me to check if my scenes work fine and fine-tune them. Would be great to know which smartscene operated TH Origin.

Also, I would appreciate ability to export log as .csv for future analysis.

Got it. The requirements are indeed related to eWeLink Cloud and eWeLink App. I have just conveyed these requirements to my colleagues. I will update you once I get further information.

Sorry for the issue. We have identified the root cause, and will fix it in v4.1.3 which should be released within 2 or 3 days.

Hi

I would prefer if ewelink constructed an app or emulator to run a fully integrated version of NSPanel interface on an ios or android device rather than create a “new” device, then I can choose my own size of screen. An 8in screen cannot be retro-fitted in my current panel location, but perhaps an ipad mini could be

Interesting idea, thanks for suggestion.

Many features of NSPanel Pro App exist only because the NSPanel Pro hardware has them. Which part of NSPanel Pro App do you want to have on iPad or Android pad? The ability to display device tile and control them? We have 2 other solutions for this kind of use case:

Please let me know if they meet your requirements.

Now that I’ve updated to v4.1.1 and tested it a while, I think it is the best fw so far for my use case. Thank you very much!

Hi, I have confirmed it with my colleague that this feature will be available in eWeLink App v5.22.0 version which is scheduled to be released on December 8th for Android, and December 23th for iOS.

Also, I would appreciate ability to export log as .csv for future analysis.

The eWeLink App version for exporting log as .csv file hasn’t been confirmed. But the earliest version could be v5.22.0, otherwise, the next version v5.23.0.

Let me go through the points in your reply.

Ewelink Cast app. No I have not used this app - the feedback on the app stores is very poor

Ewelink Web Interface. Yes I have used it but you cannot add devices and the screen layout is quite restrictive.

You seriously understate the capability of the NS panel. You should consider this as a portal to a multi vendor automation installation and not as a device with hardware dependencies which limit your roadmap.
My personal installation is multivendor involving TP Link, Samsung SmartThings, Velux Blinds, Home Assistant and of course Sonoff. Without the aid of the other suppliers the value of the panel - on it’s own would be greatly diminished.

My purpose in suggesting the emulatorwas very simple, the user could ;

  1. decide what size screen suits their needs and preference rather than be limited to the 8” model you still have on the drawing board, and

  2. Have the panel mobile and with the user rather than have to walk to where the panel is, especially if that might be downstairs

I would encourage you and the team to look at the device through the eyes of a user and consider usability, flexibility and heterogenous environments.

My wife is not a software coder, but still likes to push buttons to make the velux blinds work, or switch on the air-con we bought locally or see the temperature in the garage and the garden shed and the loft all on one screen
….. and she uses an iphone.

Is there a way to be part of the TestFlight beta program for eWeLink app on iOS? Some features of the app come late to match the NSPanel firmware and it would be great to test them before its release which come several weeks after the beta firmware release…

Hi, thank you very much for your interests in testing NSPanel Pro and eWeLink App.

I think it should be easy to join the TestFlight program of eWeLink iOS App if we have your Apple account information (email, or phone number), but it won’t solve the problem that the same version of eWeLink App for iOS is normally released 2 or 3 weeks later than it for Android.

Because we only have a relatively small App development team. For each version, the team develops Android version first, and then after releasing Android version, they start developing iOS version. It’s NOT like Android version and iOS version are being developed simultaneously, but iOS version takes more time to mature.
