Having NSPanel Pro Gen2 connected via MQTT is nice, but it doesn’t really change the device’s capabilities.
MQTT exposes what the firmware already provides - nothing more, nothing less.
Full control would require the panel to act as a native HA input device with local UI and event handling, which NSPanel Pro simply doesn’t offer.
for this case i have installed the native home assistant android app from f-droid store. i display my home assistant native dashboards on the nspanel this way.
Running the HA Android app on NSPanel Pro is basically the same as running it on any Android tablet. It doesn’t give you control over the NSPanel hardware - it only displays your HA dashboards. That’s all.
Since NSPP won’t have local scenes anytime soon, I don’t see a real reason to buy any panel.
Hi @Jojkoba , what do you want to achieve with the local scenes?
Hi, some customers simply have unstable internet, and local scenes in NSPP would help a lot of peoples.
