V2.7.0 [2025.08.25]

iHost V2.7.0 Now Officially Released!

In this update, we introduce enhanced support for SONOFF cameras with ONVIF protocol and notable improvements to iHost CAST.
Please take a moment to read through the notes before updating to this version.

New Feature:

  1. ONVIF Camera Support
  • Added automatic discovery of ONVIF-compatible cameras.
  • Supported PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) control.
  • Tested and verified compatible devices (with required firmware versions):
    • SONOFF CAM-PT2: FW ≄ 1.0.6
    • SONOFF CAM-B1P: FW ≄ 1.0.2
  1. CAST Enhancements
  • Extended CAST pad layouts for a more flexible dashboard experience.

Bug Fixes:

  1. Corrected inaccurate data display in the thermostatic radiator valves’ trend graphs.
  2. Fixed a bug where scenes triggered by power threshold failed to execute properly.
  3. Fixed an issue where device status changes on iHost CAST required a manual refresh of the web browser to update.

Can you tell me more about this feature?

I have a CAM Pan-Tilt 2 camera, but I haven’t noticed any new features.

This feature requires you to add the camera using the automatic discovery ONVIF protocol, and your PT2 firmware version must be greater than 1.0.5.

Thank you for this new release. We have noticed issues with the CAST feature that effects SONOFF TRVZB when iHost is being accessed using Remote Access URL or Taliscale by an iPhone mobile (iOS ver 18.6) using Safari, Chrome or Firefox browsers from the local LAN or remotely via the cellular network.

Switching TRVZB Thermostat Mode between OFF-Manual-Auto Switching does not work for most attempts.****
Target temperature + and - buttons Tapping buttons does not work but tapping on the temperature bar works ok.

These issues do not happen when using CAST from a WIN 11 pc with Chrome or Firefox browsers.

Issues have been reported via iHost feedback with ticket# 250817

Thanks for your feedback. We have tested the issues you described using various smartphones, including different iOS versions (18.5 and 18.6.1), and we did not reproduce the problem. Could you please record a screen video to capture this issue occurring on your device? Thanks in advance!

Hi I spent a lot of time experimenting with different browsers on iPhone but sometimes the commands to TRVZB would work OK but more frequently buttons would not respond to being tapped. I’ve switched off the iHost Remote Access url and reverted to using Taliscale which seems to operate without any problems. The attached screen video gives an example of the problem. When this was being recorded the iphone was connected to the same LAN as iHost and iHost Remote Access and Taliscale were both enabled.

When you click a button, there is a certain delay between sending the command and receiving a response from the device. The UI only updates after the device has actually responded.

Additionally, TRVZBs are inherently slow to react, and sending frequent commands in a short period may cause the device to become unresponsive.

Do you experience similar delays when controlling the thermostatic valve through the web interface?

No I do not experience any long delays when sending commands to TRVZBs and their responses when controlling the valve through the web interface. I’ve noticed that for TRVZBs after sending commands I have to exit the pane that they are located in and go back to the CAST start pane and then back into where the TRVZBs are located and find that it shows the correct response to the command. This issue doesn’t seem to affect Node Red virtual switches included in CAST. The issue doesn’t occur when accessing CAST with a PC (Win11, Chrome or Firefox Browser) using xxx.xxx.x.x/cast (iHost ip address/cast). I will be more tolerant with TRVZB.

From your description, this issue occur exclusively during remote access , but not when using Cast locally ?
If so, the problem is likely caused by latency issues with the remote connection .

Ok so I tried an experiment: iPhone and Windows 11 pc both running CAST simultaneously over the same cellular connection (Both using the iPhone cellular) into the iHost using the cube remote access URL. My results were that the CAST feature for iphone was not reliable. I tried the same experiment with an Android mobile also using the iPhone’s cellular data and the CAST feature on the Android phone was reliable. I made a short video with the iphone and PC side by side, it is too large to attach but can be viewed here: VID_20250829_070528.mp4 ~ pixeldrain

I see.
We’ll try to reproduce the problem and get back to you.

Hi, is it possible that you haven’t yet configured the Sonoff MINIRBS to work on iHost, or am I missing something?

Thanks

same here, still unsupported

Currently, we do not officially support the synchronization of this device with iHost yet. It is in our plans, but it won’t be implemented very soon. Thank you for your attention!

MINI-RBS It’s still in the planning stages

will it be supported via Matter or the ewelink smart home add-on?

Yes, it will be synced to ihost by ewelink smart home add-on.

ok,

Will ihost support the new Sonoff SAWF-07P and SAWF-8P devices in December?

I apologize if the tone sounds firm, but I find it unacceptable that a product is designed, sold, and then not properly supported.
I purchased ten devices specifically to manage my roller shutters more effectively, since Zigbee-based ones don’t allow me to stop them at the desired percentage.
So I ask: what should I do now? Return them all, claiming they’re unsupported?
Your products should be the first to receive full support from the moment they’re released.
This is a matter of professionalism and respect toward your customers.
