Tuya Zigbee Repeater/ Router potential problems with iHost and TRVZB

We have become aware of a Zigbee Repeater/ Router Device that may cause TRVZB status (Heating/ Keeping) display issues with iHost.

Description of issues:

1.From iHost Home Screen: switching between Auto, Manual and Off thermostat there is a noticeable delay for iHost to show the change of status
2.TRVZB with a high target temperature showing as “Heating” then set to a low target temperature. The TRVZB physically closes, the heating icon extinguishes but on iHost the status shows permanent as “Heating” from then onwards regardless of the actual status of the TRVZB. (this of course affects any iHost scenes that rely on the TRVZB status as shown in iHost)

Our Zigbee networks include repeaters/ routers and we found that by removing the following types the issues were resolved.

Device: USB Zigbee Repeater/ Router
Manufacturer: _TZ3000_nlsszmzl
Model: TS0207
Ver: 4.0

From the model number it would appear that these devices are really intended for Tuya. Strangely the TRVZBs that were effected were not shown to be connected to these devices on the Zigbee Map.

It is reported that this device does not relay messages of non Tuya devices. This can break your network, as you already know.

Why they call this device a “repeater” is unknown, as there is no such thing in the Zigbee specification. A “router”, on the other hand, cannot operate selectively, or at least should not. It is a strange device and better not to use it. Why did you choose this crap?

Legacy devices- we wouldn’t normally use this type of unbranded rubbish. We usually use the IKEA TRADFRI models which so far haven’t given any problems.
