For the the new version 2.3.0 running on iHost I have noticed the following potential bugs in relation to TRVZBs.
After the new software is installed iHost Home Screen Cards display the following for all TRVZBs on the system:
Battery Condition % = “unknown”
Voltage= “0v”
The Smart Schedule area is blank showing none of the entries.
If the TRVZB is powered down and then powered up again (Battery Out and In again) the iHost TRVZB will now show Battery with a % value. Voltage is still Ov. The Smart Schedule area is now populated with the originally entered times and temperatures but the problem is that the Target Temperatures do not switch at the scheduled time or at all.
Have you tried to unpair and pair again, this should resolve most issues that occurred during the upgrade.
Battery/voltage information generally relies on devices to report rather than to request it. If the issue presists, could you please download logs and share with us?
The problem still persists -I’ve raised the problem with Sonoff via the iHost feedback tab and included the system log. Ticket ID219879 - I’m reluctant to unpair and re-pair devices as it means scenes for those devices will have to be manually written again.
I have unpaired and re-paired 1 valve and it does resolve the problem, but V is not now displayed on TRVZB iHost host home screen. This does mean that every valve in the system has to go through the same process and it means re-writing scenes and the Smart Schedules on the valve. This is a very time consuming process and should not have to be done after a software update.

This is a problem that needs to be solved. Scenes and configurations should not be deleted automatically. In case of device deletion (configuration error) the scene should be inactive on the list and highlighted in red that there is an error. In the smartthings app scenes are not deleted automatically and can be quickly configured correctly.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
We have made every effort to ensure that devices previously paired with legacy Zigbee components continue to function smoothly. However, each user could have a different device combo sometimes it’s unexpected.
But this transition is necessary sooner or later to expand the devices’ capabilities and compatibility. The new component enables device support based on their abilities rather than their types. This approach will help us add support for new devices more quickly and make more devices ready to use without additional complexities on our side.
As for the scene rebuilding, we will seek to make it more accessible and if possible, memorize devices previously paired.
Further to my report about pairing and unpairing TRVZB I can now report that this doed not fully resolve the problems- TRVZB “Auto” Mode does not function now. This is a basic function that should operate properly with iHost as otherwise it renders the TRVZB as not fully operational. Sonoff really need to sort this out quickly.
Yes all of my TRVZBs have the same issue and it occured since I updated iHost Software yesterday. Here is an example of another TRVZB on my system that has been unpaired and re-paired.
Ok thanks- in the meantime I have temporary worked around the problem by writing some scenes to simulate the Smart Schedules in Auto mode to change the Target temperatures a certain times with Manual mode.
I have the same issue. Re-paired all the TRVs but auto isnt working. Thanks for the smart scenes tip. I had looked at node red but the set temp option isn’t working in the control node.
Thanks for your note: For my system as an interim measure until the problem is fixed I have written 2 tap to run manual scenes for each TRVZB to to switch them to different Manual temperatures (eg 23deg C for day and 16deg C for night) . And triggered by timer initiated auto smart scenes for each TRVZB. Also check that any scenes that you have that rely on the TRVZB changing status Heating> Keeping > Heating etc still operate correctly. I found that none of mine would so had to re- write them. Sonoff will fix the problem, it’s just an inconvenience at the moment- Good Luck.
Hello, first, let me thank you for a quick fix, I’ve had the same issue as the author and reported it already with logs, etc. with #219989.
So I would like to let you know that after installing v.2.3.2 it seems like that issue was almost resolved. Looks like that saving and logic is working as expected, but interface sometimes still showing wrong target temparature, like on this example.
I have an assumption that issue is partially fixed because the thermostat is in a Heating mode which doesn’t make any sense, if target temperature is 19 degrees, but totally makes sense if the configuration from Schedule section is applied:
After some attempts to edit schedule seems like it shows correct value and I also checked the thermostat itself and it was displaying correct value as well. So this is more like to keep you aware of this.
Thank you have downloaded and installed v2.3.2. For TRVZBs if they don’t respond properly they will need to have their battery disconnected and reconnected (power down and power up) then press on the top button to scroll through iN and Ad. The 3 that I have done now seem to work OK in Auto mode. Thank you to the Development Team for resolving this issue quickly.
