Tongou WIFI Zigebee MCB

Still the same… not working

I have not observed anything of the sort. It has been working very well for many weeks.

Cool.
I would like to have this information on eWelink. It would be great to be able to buy this ZigBee adapter and put it on the platform somehow!

I’ll check if I use ZHA as a test.

  1. First OTA iHost to v2.1.0
  2. 0x385b44fffed7fe6f has not been answering. Please re-pair the device, then manually control the device a few times and then check if it works on iHost web control panel.
  3. 0x385cfbfffef2e9ab has been reporting off, the reason is unknown for now. Can you check whether on the iHost or other platforms sets any smart scene that cause the device to keep executing off commands.
  4. If you still can’t solve the problem, give us feedback on the latest system logs.

i added this device, 0x385cfbfffef2e8bb, but still the same, ihost schow the right status ON/OFF but when i will change this, the device start blinking and not responding anymore.
I changed to EARU RDCBC2-WIFI (has LAN Mode, so i can switch it in iHost, the current meter works only in the Ewelink app), and for only switching ON/OFF i use EARU RDCBC, has also LAN Mode.

When i turn the device manualy on, and on ihost i press off, nothing happens, but when i press again “on” on the ihost, the device turn off, after this i cant switch anymore.

How did you managed to link EARU RDCBC2-WIFI with eWeLink platform or iHost? This device doesn’t feature a compatible firmware. Did you flash it with customized firmware or what?

This device is for ewelink platform, manufactured by coolkit, i did nothing, only pairing with ewelink-app.

In case this can be controlled by iHost via eWelink’s Add-ons?

Do I believe that it does not pass the equal energy entities happens with correct PowR2?

Does it work on the eWelink web?

This can be on/off via ewelink addon on ihost, but energy entities are not passed to ihost, only to the app show them, i think also on ewelink web…

Are we sure? I did some research and it appears that Shenzhen CoolKit Technology does not manufacture the devices and is unlikely to have anything to do with the Earu Electric brand. Tongou, on the other hand, has been a well-known Chinese manufacturer of electrical apparatus for 30 years. This one too, it seems, has nothing to do with Earu.
Earu devices are sold by suppliers from AliExpress. You know that all sorts of strange things are sold there. Therefore, the claimed compatibility with the eWeLink platform may be illusory. Because you don’t know if eWeLink has anything to do with the firmware of your device (@ward has it?).
Observe that Aqara/Lumi representatives have stated many times that the brand does not sell through Ali. Sonoff/eWeLink also posted similar warnings, if only on this forum. I don’t know why Chinese companies are doing so little to curb the counterfeiting on Ali. Apparently local laws allow it, but someone from eWeLink would have to comment here to know for sure.

I don’t know how it works.
However, in Brazil it is common to find these announcements.
and yes they say that they are compatible with eWelink and work as a Sonoff PowR2 but in the equipment information bring other names and etc… only the version of FW is the same as the Sonoff Powr2.

I don’t know if it would be a counterfeit or anything like that. Because he doesn’t try to go through another product.
And it registers on eWelink’s servers.

I don’t know who owns the rights of the FW.

It’s not that I hear about this brand. In fact, these two

One is always linked to eWelink and the other connected to Tuya.

We’ve checked the log.
It’s compatibility issue cause the device not reacting as expected.
It’s a quite complex problem.
Might take some time to workaround.
We’ll fix it in the latest next month.

Sorry, I don’t have that information.

And as we mentioned on this forum a lot, eWeLink does not make end devices. Hardware and firmware issues are more related to the vendors.

So this is a question for Sonoff, yes? Because it should to be known to whom the firmware is being made available?

SONOFF is one of the vendors that use eWeLink solutions. Tongou, or EARU can be other vendors that use our solutions like SONOFF.

It would be better to contact the vendor for specific issues about hardware/firmware and eWeLink for platform needs :slightly_smiling_face:

Today I received a device from this company. I will test it to see how it behaves and how it works.

If the ZigBee model works, I will add one so I can test it.

:+1: Thanks!

Ihost show this:
Manufacturer coolkit
Model PSF-X67
Service Name ewelink-smart-home
i also dont believe that is manufactured by coolkit, i think only the firmware…

I’m asking out of curiosity. Seems that nobody controls the use of the label “Works with eWeLink”. Any manufacturer can create a device and use the API e.g. from reverse engineering and then label it with the eWeLink logo? Something doesn’t quite appeal to me.

Exactly!
