Hello everyone,
I’m experiencing an issue with my Sonoff iHost and I would appreciate some help.
At the moment I am away from home and connected to my home network via VPN. I noticed that the iHost CPU usage was constantly at 100%, so I decided to reboot the device.
After the reboot, the web interface loads, but it always shows the message: “Disconnected. Check your internet connection and try again.”
I tested access both via VPN and from a PC directly connected to the home LAN, and the behavior is the same in all cases.
The router correctly detects the iHost on the network and ping works with no packet loss. Zigbee
Devices exposed via Matter continue to work correctly in Google Home, which confirms that the hub is running and communicating on the local network. However, on the login screen the Device ID is not visible, which seems unusual compared to normal operation.
Overall, the device appears to be partially functional, but the web UI cannot establish a proper connection.
My questions are whether there is a way to send a reboot command to the iHost over LAN, whether there is anything I can do remotely to restart the affected services or recover the web interface, and whether this issue could be related to the high CPU usage before the reboot or to a service that failed to start correctly.
not from where i was. Once at home i simply find the ihost with red leds. I simply pull off the power cable and after a reboot now it’s working as intended. Ofc iussues like this limit greatly .the remote control .
Hi All I found my problem.
Installed a new router a while ago. kept all the settings the same as the old router so that all with work. I was looking in to the settings now and found my ihost and some other Iot devices was isolated. removed the isolation and all worked.
This setting is under Security tab on my TPlink router.
