👨‍💻‍【Release Note】eWeLink CUBE Version History

Hi all. I am having an issue doing a backup. After confirming I just receive a Backup failed notice. Checking the logs reveals that the procedure is stopping due to some files in the homeassistant docker image. I have deleted some of the files which were noted as Invalid links in filebrowser, the procedure did stop however at other files after.
Latest file with which the backup feature has issues with is already a valid file as I can tell with content in it. What would be the reason to report “ENOENT: no such file or directory” for this?
Is there an easy fix that would skip these files or not sure what solution there can be for such scenarios? Of course a proper full backup would be the best but some options on which docker images to back up could already help.
See latest entry below from aibridge_recovery.log file:

V2.3.0 has work well so far for me. Cast TRV control and Zigbee map all working. I’ve paired a matter MINI4R and EVE Energy matter plug successfully and have a backup downloaded off the SD card onto another server.

I ran a backup restore. It’s been 4 hours and the ihost is still not online. The backup file was 34Mb

It’s in iHost built-in storage; the USB external storage option is not supported yet.

Did it make it in the end?

Ihost is still unavailable.

On ihost, where I have node-red, homebridge, home assistant installed, I also can’t make a backup. An error occurs.

Could you please post a screenshot?

Do you mind telling us more information about this?

Can you post a screenshot that shows the current backup progress? Reboot the iHost, then download the log. Many thanks.

The essence of backup is also to protect against storage failure, isn’t it? What good is a backup if it is stored on a card? As we all know, cards often fail. You have to admit that it is a bit of a pain in the neck to make a backup on a card, which then has to be moved to another location.
I can see that the decision to ditch iHost and base home automation on Home Assistant was a good one in every way. In HA I do backups wherever I want, including to any LAN location. I use an addon that backs up to OneDrive at a scheduled rate. Also, a Zigbee network backup is done after every configuration change.

Backup files are in the onboard emmc chip; you can also save them to your PC from the WebUI. iHost backups Zigbee data too.

Why does earlier posts mention removing the card to transfer the backup file? I don’t understand any of this :stuck_out_tongue:

kinda lost in the previous posts. There’s no such requirement.

too many comments that are untrue and misleading

@ward Perhaps a short step-by-step guide would dispel doubts and show only the right way?

If you select the ‘Restore Backups’ option on the settings page you can navigate to this page and download the backup. There’s no need to remove the SD card.

I can’t create a backup. I tried it with and without a password.

Thanks for trying… at least we know where we are.

But backup that don’t work… is no backup.

Looks like me doing print screens of my scenes on iHost is still my best backup.

Please send us the system log via message or feedback.
We’ll get back to you ASAP.
