Hi all. I am having an issue doing a backup. After confirming I just receive a Backup failed notice. Checking the logs reveals that the procedure is stopping due to some files in the homeassistant docker image. I have deleted some of the files which were noted as Invalid links in filebrowser, the procedure did stop however at other files after.
Latest file with which the backup feature has issues with is already a valid file as I can tell with content in it. What would be the reason to report âENOENT: no such file or directoryâ for this?
Is there an easy fix that would skip these files or not sure what solution there can be for such scenarios? Of course a proper full backup would be the best but some options on which docker images to back up could already help.
See latest entry below from aibridge_recovery.log file:
V2.3.0 has work well so far for me. Cast TRV control and Zigbee map all working. Iâve paired a matter MINI4R and EVE Energy matter plug successfully and have a backup downloaded off the SD card onto another server.
The essence of backup is also to protect against storage failure, isnât it? What good is a backup if it is stored on a card? As we all know, cards often fail. You have to admit that it is a bit of a pain in the neck to make a backup on a card, which then has to be moved to another location.
I can see that the decision to ditch iHost and base home automation on Home Assistant was a good one in every way. In HA I do backups wherever I want, including to any LAN location. I use an addon that backs up to OneDrive at a scheduled rate. Also, a Zigbee network backup is done after every configuration change.
If you select the âRestore Backupsâ option on the settings page you can navigate to this page and download the backup. Thereâs no need to remove the SD card.
