Can you be more specific?
When you save the cast panel, the red bar shows on top?

And please send us the system log to find out what’s wrong.

Hello,
I want to inform you that now when we remove device the linked scene(s) will be also removed.
Not directly but when you want to set again the scene(s) for reselecting the new device you cannot save and get error message in red that say something like “the scene is no longer exists please update …”
Then I refresh the ihost webpage and see that the scene was removed …
It is easy reproducible.
Before the release V2.3.x we keep the scene(s) and just need to reselect the device.
Thank you in advance if you can have a look on this.
Regards.

That is good and not bad.

Let’s assume you have a scene like this:

If you press the button and the light is ON, then open the gate.

If you remove the button keeping the scene, it will become:

If the light is On, then open the gate.

Scenes in ihost were never saved once deleted, devices are always deleted.

The situation occurs if the deleted device is as a scene condition or as one actuator device.

Create an alarm system with ihost.
How can I time some sensors by giving the exit/entry time (delay)?

Understand this case. But it is an action from your part. That mean you have to manage dependent scenes.
On my case i got compatibility issue when update (SNZB-03 issue solved now) that mean i have to set again all scenes with SNZB-03. Long time …
Before it was more easy to manage when troubleshoot and need to re pair device.

Is scene condition with only the removed device.

If there is a small chance to result in a scene change after a device removed, then is much SAFE to remove the whole scene.

Another option can be disabling the scene and adding a tag on it, like “something changed and the scene was disabled”

Good deal.

Hello, I just updated from version 2.3 to 2.3.4, and the scenes with my SNZB-03 sensor stopped working. I deleted the sensor from ihost and reinstalled it, but when trying to create scenes, the last field shows up empty, so nothing can be done.

iHost will remove scene automatically in only one situation.
The trigger condition set with one and only device(in your case, it’s SNZB-03).
When the device is deleted, said scenes will be removed by iHost.

Yes, I understand that. I deleted the device because the scene stopped working after I updated to 2.3.4, and I wanted to see if reinstalling the device would allow me to create the scene again to make it work. The issue is that, as you can see in the picture, I can’t create the scene again because the third field is blank.
