Pairing Fail POW R2

I had a POW V2 that I could not pair via quick pairing so I next try Compatible mode.

The hot spot that is generated has an SSID of “Hi11107W0B0000000000000000015B60”, not the expected “ITEAD-**************”. I am unable to join this network.

I returned to seller for refund. This has happened to me three times, with three different units. Why is this hot spot being generated?

That sounds like that device works with the HiLink app or so, but there are very few devices of Sonoff that supports that app and I believe the POWR2 is none of those.

I believe it is just a counterfeit product. Just buy at one of the the online stores of Itead themselves, like:
