You probably have turned on the compatible pairing mode. So in the app you have to select this mode in the app. The device will then create its own ap ITEAD-****** and password 12345678. In any case, the app will guide you through the compatible mode.
something is probably wrong. but we can try from the beginning. connect the socket and wait 3 minutes (5 minutes is fine) the pairing mode should be ended.
after the pairing mode is ended, hold the button for 5 seconds.
until the led starts flashing 2x short and 1 long.
then go to the pairing application.
select quick pairing and follow the instructions of the application.
(of course, the phone must be logged in to the wifi network to which you want to add the socket.)
If the quick pairing mode fails, try “Compatible pairing mode”.
Press and hold the pairing button for 5 seconds until the Wi-Fi LED indicator
changes in a cycle of two short and one long flashes, and release it. 2.
Press and hold the pairing button again for 5 seconds until the Wi-Fi LED indicator
starts flashing quickly. The device will then enter compatible pairing mode.
Click the “+” button and select “Compatible pairing mode”. 3.
Select the Wi-Fi SSID from ITEAD-****** and enter the password 12345678, then return to the
eWeLink app and tap “Next”.
I have tried after the plug has been powered on for several hours, and no matter how long I press the button, it will keep blinking, no change as 2x short and 1 long. It just blinks.
It is the same for all the plugs I have deleted from eWelink. I tried quick pairing and compatible pairing and nothing works as it is just blinking steadily, and cannot find anything.
I really hope there is another way of doing this. I never had an issue pairing other things from Sonoff before and I tried many devices.
I know it’s complicated but can you film the pairing process with another phone? And I added a link? It would help to understand maybe what the problem is
I cannot get into pairing as the plug just blinks steady alle the time, no matter how long I hold the power button. So there will be nothing to see on the mobile, as the plug never enters pairing mode: 2 x blink and one long blink.
