We apologize for the inconvenience you’ve experienced.
We plan to release a new version in the first half of 2024 to address this issue. Besides we will optimize the thermostat’s functionality by expanding the adjustable range, improving temperature control accuracy, and supporting decimal points, among other enhancements. Thank you for your feedback and patience.
I hope you understand the issue, in my case there is not an accuratecy problem, I use the temp from an external sensor (TH ELITE) and ewen the lack of decimals would not be that big of a problem (yes please add decimals it would be really nice) but the thermostat does +/- 2C° instead of the set +/-1C° . Like if it’s set to 21C° it wil stop at 23C°. It turns OFF when > set temp +1C° , and not
OFF >= set temp + 1C°
And same thing for on. It turns on when it falls below the set temp - 1C° , ON < set temp - 1C° …
Ends up turning on at 19C°.
I never get an explanation from you, but I’m still convinced that it’s a mistake on Sonoff or Ewelink side (probably lack of communication between the two), a stupid </=< code mistake which ruined the experience for every NSPanel user.
The thing which I don’t understand, how could you let this stupid minor thing upset your fans, customers for more than a year…
Hi, we have been waiting since January 2022 for this update, you will understand I believe it will never arrive!
There are so many easy-to-spot bugs in their software; I am appalled at how little testing they do before releasing a version. It takes me just a few minutes of fiddling around to discover bugs that are so obvious.
Just release the software as open source, and people will stop using your products solely for the hardware and actually contribute to the software itself. This will be a big win for everyone.
They promised an update in May, let’s wait and see what they can offer, and if they are still incapable, we should make it clear on their facebook page.
Thanks good, they did it. It took them 2 years and it was probably 2 days of actual development but at leas we have a working +/-0,5 C on the thermostat.
