How about the 86 Type? Will users of this version be granted the privilege of experiencing the positives? Or not yet?

Currently the V4.0.X version has only been rolled out to some NSPanel Pro 120 versions. Once the issues are resolved and stable performance is ensured, we will extend the update to the 86 version as well as other 120 version devices that have not yet received it.

…and the estimated time is… ?

BTW: If the stability issue remains unresolved, how can anyone seriously talk about positive usage and feedback from users?

We have released version 4.0.2 with fixes for stability and reboot issues, and our team is continuing with issue reproduction and testing.

Version 4.0.X introduced F-Droid, and we have received many requests from users eager to try it early. We will share the estimated release time in this post based on ongoing feedback and testing.

So the positive feedback refers, for example, to the addition of F-Droid. Fair enough. That makes sense. It’s just a pity that the European version of NSPanel Pro is sitting on the sidelines.

Yes the version 4.0.X with the introduction of F-Droid is a great improvement if you use third party system like in my case i use HA and F-droid has give me the possibility to install the HA companion and results are good, great stability, faster response and smoother control, but the sonoff OS have presented bugs in need of attention from devs. i just downloaded and installed version 4.0.2 and i hope that at least some issues are fixed as mentioned in the release note

Thank you for your support. NSPanel Pro will continue to address issues through version updates. Welcome to try the F-Droid feature and share your suggestions.

I’m eager to tryout V4 on some ofmy NSPanel Pro 86 EU models. I hope I can try it out soon. :slightly_smiling_face:

  1. Will access to installed applications be possible only from the F-Droid menu?
  2. Are there plans to display shortcuts for installed applications on the NSpanel Pro screen?
  3. I need easy and quick switching between running applications.

Yes it would be good to have a shortcut button to installed f-droid app.

I’ve installed the update to 4.0 and didn’t have any issues, the miniRBS also work, but in the settings it shows as version 3.1.2 and it doesn’t detect the updates….

First observations:

After the upgrade, Zigbee T&H sensor data passed from the NSPanel Pro is misinterpreted and displayed with a shifted decimal point (e.g. 960.0°C instead of 9.6°C, 8000% RH instead of 80). Interestingly, this issue affects only the NSPanel - elsewhere (e.g. eWeLink Web, App, or SonoffLAN) the values are shown correctly.

The screensaver with the digital clock may look unchanged at first glance, but it’s no longer vertically centered. Additionally, the digit size is noticeably smaller, making it harder to read from a distance. I suggest reverting to the layout used in version 3.x.
And while we’re at it, let me repeat a question that’s been asked before: why is it still not possible to configure the screensaver from the App?

I agree. This needs to be addressed somehow, because even the most minimalistic launcher doesn’t really help. Ideally, we should be able to create screens with at least one pinned app. I’m not even dreaming of adding tiles to the home screen :slightly_smiling_face:

But it’s all ahead of us. After all, we’re only just beginning to explore F-Droid. The eWeLink guys are a creative bunch. Just give them a bug and a coffee, and they’ll invent a feature. With a bit of our nudging, they’ll surely cook up something useful. Probably even before we finish complaining about it. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Hi!

I’m using version 4.04.
I have installed Home Assistant app, works great but I’m wondering if the screensaver functionality will work with the HA app running?

No, it does not :frowning:

Screensaver is not working while using companion app but you can use an HA integration like: WALLPANEL as a screensaver

While updating I had many crashes, but now I’m on 4.0.4 and it does crash sometimes, out of the blue it reboots and sometimes can’t power up again so I just disconnect and connect again. But way less times than before.

I’ve connected many different devices, zigbee, matter by sonoff, matter by third-parties, and let me say the connection (at least by now) with matter third parties has improved A LOT. Devices are always online and working fine with scenes, reliable and also with a fast response, even when powering off and on, the panel gets them fast (before this update it took a lot of time to recognize them, if it finally did that most of the times it didn’t).

The only thing I notice now is that I added a button on the main page for a TP Matter device and it won’t go blue while on, always stays showing as off even if it’s activated. I can see it blue though if I go to the ā€œall the devicesā€ page.

I’d rather stay with system screensaver. Wallpanel can be hardly called a screensaver.

Currently the V4.0.X version has only been rolled out to some NSPanel Pro 86&120 versions. Did you receive the update? If not, please send me the Device ID of your NSPanel Pro through private message. I’ll arrange the firmware OTA for you.
