NSPanel Pro Roadmap and Co-Created Future

Thank you for your patience. After analyzing the logs, we have confirmed that the NSPanelPro currently does not support Matter-compatible curtain devices. As a temporary workaround, you can add such devices as child devices directly to the NSPanelPro. We sincerely appreciate your feedback and have scheduled this device for future Matter support. Thank you again for your understanding.

If I understand correctly, you would like to control a device’s on/off state with a single tap on its card in the NSPanelPro interface. If so, I’m glad to share that we have optimized this experience in the upcoming version 4.3.0. For single-channel devices, one tap will be sufficient to control the switch.

That said, I’m a bit confused because this doesn’t seem directly related to the configuration in the HA Companion App you mentioned earlier. To ensure we’re on the same page, could you please explain your scenario in a bit more detail? Thank you!

Hi.
Your understanding is correct.
But things have moved on, principally I have reduced my ignorance of the available facilities in ver 4.2 and below. Lots of trial and error.

On HA I set up a trusted user account for NSpanel

On HA I reset the default page to provide a landing page for display and to activate “with a single tap” a variety of devices (multivendor), HA helpers and information displays.

Using F-Droid I have downloaded the HA app and set default open page to HA.

It seems to work ok - tried sending a video but file size too big.

What does occur however is delay when first logging on until credentials are cached - then delays are much less noticeable.

But if ver 4.3 allows me to improve that then I look forward to it.

PS do you have a release note for ver 4.3 I can read up in advance

Certainly! It’s my pleasure. In fact, the features planned for version 4.3.0 align closely with the roadmap we shared earlier (NSPanel Pro Roadmap and Co-Created Future), with one key adjustment: due to high community interest and discussion around the thermostat feature, it will be launched earlier than originally planned — we expect to release it in a standalone update prior to version 4.3.0 .

As a result, the timeline for Support for BTHome V2 protocol mentioned in the roadmap will be adjusted and is now expected to arrive one version later. We appreciate everyone’s understanding on this shift.

That said, version 4.3.0 will bring much more than what was listed in the initial roadmap. We’ve included numerous optimizations and new features based on user feedback, such as:

  • Improved interaction experience with device cards
  • Ability to sync newly added devices directly to NSPanel Pro for control
  • Customizable ringtone messages
  • And many other community-suggested improvements that have been incorporated into this release.

We’re excited to share it with you soon — stay tuned!

I’m also genuinely eager to hear any and all thoughts you have about NSPanel Pro. Please feel free to share your ideas openly!

please improve matter hub function at nspanel pro , make it more friendly to add other matterbridges to ewelink and more supported types such as locks , climate , etc

Got it. We have plans for Matter Hub function. We’ll start working on it after we release v4.4.0.

By the way, since Chinese New Year holiday begins on Tuesday, February 17th, 2026, and many of my colleagues will be taking more than 14 days off. So we will not release any new version in March, 2026.

happy new year holiday for all ewelink and chinese staff , wish you the best

Just a bit of feedback for a function for the future:

DND for the display.

If the display is in a bedroom or such, even in lowest brightness it does add some extra light to the room.

Would be nice to have the ability to add DND timeframe to make the screen completely dark (from 10pm to 6AM or whatever) for the sensitive rooms.

The feedback is from my personal beta tester (wife)

Is it possible to turn off sound while restarting napanel pro?

I second this: small but very useful feature! :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Got it. Thank you very much for the suggestion. Do Not Disturb is a nice feature, we’ll put it on our roadmap.

also @HAHoracio

Is it possible to turn off sound while restarting napanel pro?

It’s easy, we could provide an option to turn off the audio or completely mute it in the next bugfix version.

Maybe instead we go with something like Dark/Quiet Hours? You know - a magical time window when things politely shut up and dim down. That way everyone gets what they want without starting a small civil war.

And, just to stay ahead of future complaints, we can always throw in a handy Turn Off Panel button

Would be amazing because have those panels in bedrooms and can’t update or restart while kids are sleeping because restarting sound is pretty loud  thanks!

One feature request here.

I show TRVZB valve (measured) temperature as the widget on NSPanel Pro screen. Which is great! But, would it be possible to add icon, if the valve is ON (heating/idle)? And/Or show set temperature to the same widget tile? There is space, as temp sensor shows also two values (temp+humidity).

To explain my use case - I have few valves in my fathers floor (91 year old) and display mesurements to make sure everything is OK.

We’ll support this feature (mute during restart) in v4.3.0 which will be released on January 8th, 2026.

Got it. I’ve confirmed with my colleague that we could implement this feature also in v4.3.0.

Hi @JoJo, @MichaelLearnsToCode. Is this already implemented? I see no such options neither on the NSPanel Pro, nor in the eWeLink app.

@demonizator Thank you for your message and our apologies for the confusion.
The custom ringtone feature mentioned in the release notes is currently in development and will be available in the upcoming v4.3.0 update.
We will notify all users once it is fully implemented.
