Is there a new version of the NSPanel Pro planned for release?

I am currently in the process of resetting my entire smart home and consolidating everything into a single ecosystem. This decision will be driven by one decisive factor: the smart panel.

Based on my research, several competing brands already offer smart panels that are noticeably more advanced, particularly in terms of display size, resolution, and overall usability. At the moment, these panels clearly set a higher benchmark than the current NSPanel Pro.

That said, I see Sonoff moving in a very positive direction, especially with the integration of Home Assistant, which is an absolute requirement for me.

My question is: is now a good time to invest in the existing NSPanel Pro, or is a new or updated version planned for release in the near future?

NSPanel Pro Roadmap and Co-Created Future

Very interested in both the “New 120 Type with 2 relays” and the new 8-inch Type. I’d probably buy both, for different use-cases. The 120 Type with relays is on schedule, and it won’t have physical buttons. Just like your phone, we think the future is Full-screen. Hello, thank you very much for your attention and recognition of SONOFF! I’m Momoko, Product Manager of NSPanel Pro. Having seen your post, I’m here to share an important update with you: we are indeed developing a new version of the NSPanel PRO! However, the first model to be launched will be in the 86-size standard. I wonder if this is the size you need?

This new model will feature significant upgrades in hardware performance, including storage capacity, screen response speed, WiFi & Zigbee connectivity, and speakers, delivering an overall experience far superior to the current version.

Here’s an extra surprise: the new NSPanelPro86 is specially equipped with dual-channel relays. When wall-mounted, it can be directly used as a switch, making it easier for you to build a comprehensive smart home ecosystem.

On the software front, the integration with Home Assistant that you care about will also be smoother. The new product will come with our officially released 4.x native system, supporting the download and installation of the Home Assistant APP from the F-Droid app store, with an option to set it to launch automatically on startup—perfectly compatible with the smart ecosystem you’ve built using Home Assistant. Meanwhile, in line with our previously announced product roadmap, we will continue to iterate and optimize system functions; you can search this roadmap in the forum for more details.

Lastly, regarding the release date you’re most concerned about: this new product is scheduled to be announced and launched in the first half of 2026. For the latest updates, you can follow the official SONOFF website (SONOFF.tech) or our official Facebook account (SONOFF_Global).

Additionally, due to hardware upgrades and substantial price increases for some raw components, the new product will be priced slightly higher than the current 86-size and 120-size models. Going forward, the new and existing models will coexist as products in the same series with different configurations for you to choose from. If price is not your primary consideration, you can wait for the new model; if you are pursuing the ultimate cost-effectiveness, the current models on sale would be a great option.

Sad about 8 inch model postpone.I prefer Sonoff gadgets but Shelly has some nice screens like wall display XL. Even with v4.x.x firmware mine NS panels pro became very responsive but would like to see 8 or more inch displays…

Sorry for the late reply. Regarding the smart control gateway with screen, we will keep iterating and optimizing our products. At this stage, we will focus on refining the experience of small-sized screens first. When the time is ripe, we will further explore the development of larger screen sizes!

yes the Shelly XL panel looks nice, but is absolutely useless in performance and crashes after (Stargate stopped working). So when Sonoff comes with a XL size panel and much faster native home assistant app running, I would buy it.

Easier to run cabling and safer as low voltage
