NSpanel Pro v2?

So, the NSPanel is getting old, the new FW have taken this great thing a lot further, but is there any plans on a v2? I mean, the screen isn’t great, it’s a bit under powered by to days standards, there is a lot of screen bezels, and so on.

Would be great to see some upgrades to match the FW development.

Keep looking, they already wrote about nspp 2 here.

It has a 64bit processor and 2GB ram. I was a bit surprised when I ran some checks on my device using the terminal. It’s actually better than my iHost and only has a little screen to run. You can run a NodeRed server on it and MQTT. I rather think there is quite a few other things that need updating first.

Memory and eMMC prices have gone up a lot recently. Because of that, I don’t really think launching a new SONOFF NSPanel Pro right now would allow them to keep a competitive price.

When memory and storage components become much more expensive, the hardware cost can easily get close to doubling, while the retail price usually can’t increase at the same pace. That ends up squeezing the margin pretty hard. If the product can’t really make money, it’s hard to see why a company would invest in developing a completely new version.

I don’t see any reason to upgrade to version 2 yet. Unfortunately, version 1 isn’t usable for me yet either. Due to the bugs, all I can do is wait.

Once they fix it, I’ll have to thoroughly test the central heating system so I can make suggestions for improvements. I have better experience in this areas.

I could move the devices directly to the nspp, but if you need to heat and the nspp device is unreliable, then that’s out of the question. I don’t want to come to a cold house.
