iHost support for NSPanel PRO router mode

There’s nothing to be repaired. Since iHost is a local server, there will be no Zigbee devices mapping. Unless eWeLink changes its approach and develops something like paral-sync that works the other way.
In the current situation, you have to put in some effort and use a ‘hybrid’ approach to use, for example, voice control. It looks schizophrenic, but what else can be done?

Indeed! The lack of coordination in the running of projects and products is staggering. It looks like Sonoff is deliberately spoiling its reputation.

It is true that Zigbee devices added to iHost will not show up on NSPanel-pro. This is because NSPanel-pro pulls eWeLink cloud devices, and local Zigbee devices added to iHost are not synchronized to the cloud.

There are other ways too, if your Zigbee devices are synced from SONOFF Zigbee Bridge Pro to iHost via Smart Home add-on, then they do exist in both iHost and NSPanel-pro.

Another tip, after NSPanel-pro switches to repeater mode, it can’t add Zigbee sub-devices because its Zigbee hardware module can only choose between gateway and repeater.

I think they should introduce two-way sync. If ns panel pro works as a zigbee network amplifier, it should display zigbee devices. If it doesn’t display. So what is the point of using nspanel pro as an amplifier.

R5 is not a Zigbee device.

Yes, I know. You’re right. but I meant something else. but my attempt failed.

For iHost and with Zigbee devices paired? None

A repeater in a zigbee network, which is one of the sub-devices of a gateway, does not connect to specific zigbee sub-devices, but only forwards them out when it receives a signal from the gateway.

Therefore, the repeater cannot display zigbee sub-devices.

that’s why I’m moving all zigbee devices to nspanel pro again.

it’s terrible having so many sonoff devices (ihost, nspanel pro). you cannot control all devices locally. Additionally, I still have to use a computer or tablet.
:frowning:

If you want to make the Zigbee gateway signal of NSPanel-pro stronger, you can turn on Trubo mode in eWeLink App.

If you want another NSPanel-pro or SONOFF Zigbee Bridge Pro Zigbee gateway to cover a wider range of signals, you can use the NSPanel-pro Trubo mode to jion in them.

This is the functional difference between Trubo mode and NSPanel-pro relay mode.

Controlling all devices locally is exactly this thing we are doing at iHost.
But undeniably, limited by some device firmware logic, we can only optimize them as much as possible to achieve more possibilities.
:slightly_smiling_face:

That’s not quite how it works. Turning on turbo mode does not make the signal stronger. All in all, it’s not clear what this mode gives except perhaps more stability. I have not noticed any shocking changes in the performance of the Zigbee network.

Can’t Sonoff actually improve the operation of nspanel pro? or does he just not want to?

Bidirectional synchronization of data was always planned - as you can see from the addon name. Finally, we will implement devices in ihost, which can also be synced to NSPanel Pro for display and control.

Development takes time, and more time is needed to test it. So we need about an extra half a year to implement this feature. When it’s done, we’ll update this addon to version 2.X.

It’s like selling cars with future updates like tyres or lights

It’s a pity that there is no clear development plan. I suspect that 70% of people would not buy ihost and nspanel pro.

Hello! Maybe I’m losing something… Setting NS Panel in router mode disable eWelink connection and I have to move all my Zigbee devices in iHost network. In this way NS Panel becames an expensive Zigbee repeater with a screen without any functionality… Or I do not see it, exept CAST screen, but any tablet or a phone can do it. If I will keep NS Panel as Zigbee host it will make iHost zigbee network useless because nothing is connected directly to iHost. Is iHost able to be a repeater? Paral-sync devices can be controlled by iHost and eWelink at the same time or Paral-sync disables the eWelink connection and NS Panel and iHost give two different solution and there is no sence to use them together?

I believe the Paralsync will eventually work in both directions so all my Zigbee devices on my iHost will appear. Not sure when that ability will appear though. Right now I’ve just added my iHost cast to the favourite websites.

any news here!? this makes 0 sense like this, now I have a black panel showing the time i can’t even set a light switch and scenes on and cant connect my temperature zigbee modules (also from sonoff)!!!?

and support does not even answer!? I feel scammed…
