How to update Node.js

What would be the way to update the Node.js version in the Homebridge/Homebridge image?

I have the Homebridge version on PROXMOX and it is relatively simple to update via the command line.

However, I saw that Homebridge itself teaches how to update NODE.JS

However, I am unable to understand a way to do this via iHost.

Are you using oznu/homebridge?
If so, that’s kind of old for now.
The official image for homebridge is homebridge/homebridge.
And I just checked, its node js version is v20.15.0.

In this case, the latest version of NODE.JS is 20.16.0.

As you can see, I have a version in PROXMOX at 20.16.0.
Which I updated manually.

That’s why I wondered if there is a way to update NODE.JS manually.

Why is there no way to access the docker CLI on the correct iHost?

We don’t offer any CLI for docker or iHost itself.
So from homebridge’s documentation, all you can do is wait for a new version.

Sorry about the inconvenience, your need for CLI is noted.
We’ll take it into consideration.

This would be useful for docker. I also vote for this if it is a feature request.

  1. Open Homebridge .
  2. Three dots at the top right - Terminal.
  3. Write this and press enter: hb-service update-node

Hello @Unnamedi,
Did you successfully manage to use Proxmox with iHost?

In this case, I use proxmox in parallel with iHost.

Only for laboratory purposes!

However, I can turn the proxmox server on and off via iHost.

Thank you very much.
I didn’t know that.
Thank you very much for your help!
