How many zb devices at NS Panel Pro

Hello,
can anyone tell me how many Zigbee devices can be registered with an NS Panel Pro?

I currently have 58, specifically 1 S26zb, 21 door sensors, 1 temperature sensor, 2 switches, 22 motion detectors, 1 curtain, and 10 zbMini.

When I register additional devices, registration works without issues, but after a while, these devices disappear again, especially after a reboot.

Thank you for your help.

@songal please take a look

Please feedback your logs in NSPro’s settings page and leave your deviceid for the developers to troubleshoot the problem.

Device id is 1002202806

Really nobody can tell me how much zb devices i can connect to NS Panel Pro?

For a short time it worked, Now again the same problem. I added a ZbMini and after a reboot of the NS Panel Pro it disappeared. 3 times in 3 days.

Hi, which device type (e.g. sensor, lamp or socket) is the disappearing device? Can you provide its deviceid for our team to troubleshoot?

Hi songal, yes, of course

It is a Sonoff zbminir2 device id a4800ee1ef

Yesterday i did some more tries, all same result. After rebooting my NSPanel-Pro it disappears (not only offline). Then i added it to a zbbridge-p, there it seems to work.

I bought another zbMiniR2. Same result.

The first one has firmware 1.04, the second one 1.02. Adding it via the app or the panel makes no difference.

I assume the Mini isn’t the cause.

Hi Thomas, NS Panel Pro can manage up to 256 sub devices, but ONLY 32 directly connected Zigbee devices. I guess your ZB Mini are the L2 version what do not have ROUTER (repeater) functionality. So to fix your disconnection issue, you may need to add a few more devices with ROUTER functionality and strategically placed with in your network to achieve both coverage and capacity.

Some of the devices that have ROUTER function could be SNZB06 or ZB Mini R2. This last can be installed within a plug box, given you have there live and neutral wires to power it.

Hope this helps.

Hi Mario, thank you for your attention. It’s not L2, it’s R2.

Nobody with an Idea?

Now I tried it with a door sensor, and it also disappeared after a restart.

Thank you very much for using NSPanel Pro and very sorry for the issue.

We were busy rolling out V4.x App for NSPanel Pro. This version has been completely rewritten in Kotlin and it should provide much better performance and stability.

NSPanel Pro should be able to handle more than 128 Zigbee devices. So it should work fine in your scenario. Would you like to try out V4.x to see if the issue still exist?

With Google’s new rules from August 2025, f-droid will cease to exist in 2027. But let’s wait and see.

The NS Panel Pro in its current form isn’t a very good device; I’m used to something different from Sonoff. I restart it every day with a Mini-D connected in front of it. If I don’t do that, it still reacts to the Zigbee devices; for example, it displays “PIR has detected movement.” However, this event isn’t forwarded, and the lights no longer turn on. I get around this by restarting daily.

I don’t yet have a solution for the other (again) current problem. I can register new devices, and they work without problems. But after restarting the NS Panel Pro— so daily—these devices disappear. They don’t go offline, they’re simply no longer there. I can register them again without any problems, and they work again until the next day.

If the new firmware actually alleviates my worries, I would be very happy. Of course I would try it.

Thank you very much for your efforts.

It must be annoying to restart NSPanel Pro every day. I feel shamed these bugs exist so long.

I am pretty confident that the new firmware will solve these bugs. Would you please send me the Device ID of your NSPanel Pro in private message, so I could arrange a firmware OTA for your device.
