Have you try to unlink eWeLink with Alexa and linking it back? My issue has gone after I did this 3 days ago, I think there’s a cache that exists in the echo, and maybe you guys need to notify people about this step.@StephenJ
Thank you Daniel.
Device is updated to the v1.0.8 and working now. I’ll keep monitoring and report back if anything unusual happens.
Hi there, thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We have consulted with the Alexa team regarding this issue, and they have informed us that they have cleared the cache for all users. However, as a precautionary measure, we recommend that you disable the eWeLink skill in the Alexa app and then relink the two platforms to see if the problem still persists.
If the issue persists, please send the device ID, and the exact timing (month/day/hour/minute) of the false operation as well as the screenshot of the device operation log through a private message, we can team up with the Alexa team to investigate.
@daniel_Zhan

Hi Daniel,
Still do not see that update, still showing v1.0.7 as the latest version.
Chris.
Hi guys, I had the same problem too. I hope this is the solution to this problem.
I’ve changed wifi mode from 802.1b/g/n to 802.1n
My light switch stop blinking. Otherwise, my switch in my room will start blinking and randomly beeping like crazy especially during midnights
Hello again Daniel,
A week now and still no V 1.1.8 available. Is this update planed for release or has it been released already?
It is still not available for me in Thailand.
Chris.
About 802.11 b g n, nice to read, but Not a solution for me. The LED Strip l3 needs b.
Yes also L2 tape needs “b”
Hi @StephenJ
I am still facing the issue. I have followed the follow steps
- Disabled ewelink skill from Amazon Alexa app
- Cleared cache of the Alexa app on my phone
- Moved all 4 of my Alexa devices to 5Gz band (haven’t started Alexa Echo Show yet)
- Enabled the ewelink skill again
Some of the devices have started randomly tripping again. Screeshot of the device that is tripping is attached. I am happy to furnish additional logs or details or experiment with you if that helps.
Both the devices tripped more than once between 20:17 hrs and 20:19 hours today (April 21, 2023). The device IDs and logs are attached. The device logs don’t show any details of tripping. Please help!
Update at 22:39 hours- i have unplugged All the Echo devices because the devices were switching off continuously. I am happy to reconnect in case you want me to try out some stuff.
Hello!
I have also experienced this with POW320D. I never connected alexa to ewelink but through home assistant.
Already disconnected alexa, remove the skill and uninstalled the app. Short of deactivating my account.
Still latest version is 1.0.7. Is the update going to roll out soon?
Hello Stephen,
I also have the problem of my Sonoff4chProR2 ( ID 10009f135e) device randomly switching. However the way it behaves looks a bit different than the other posts. Here is the description:
- The random switching is always to ON state and on CH2 (very often) or CH4 (less often).
- The trigger is always the respective local button.
- I never use Alexa.
- The IP is set as static ( which strangely seemed to help a bit in making the random transitions less often).
- The issues started in the autumn of last year but I decided to ignore it at that time(as i use it for irrigation so anyhow i stop it in the winter). The latest FW ( 3.7.3) didn’t even improve it.
Questions:
- Is it possible to downgrade the FW (as for oledr FW the device was very robust for my use case)?
- Is it possible to somehow deactivate the local buttons. I never use them so I would not care if they do not work.
If I can provide any further info please let me know.
Kind regards.
Version 1.0.8 has been deployed to your device, please check.
@Daniel_Zhan Would you please help check if there has a firmware update for the devices in the srceenshots?thanks.
@Daniel_Zhan, please help check, is there any possibilities that caused this issue? i think the 4CH are not in the scope of Alexa local control issues.
thank you, I will keep an eye on it to see how it works. i also have some door sensors wifi versions dw2-fi-fi and dw2-wi-fi-l but those i can no longer add to the network. As soon as detected in the app they just give an error.
Cannot see it yet. Is there a time delay for it to filter through?
The devices are on firmware 3.7.3. i am attaching a screenshot. Alexa devices are currently disconnected. Attaching a screenshot with the firmware details.
Devices in the on state randomly turn off connected to Wi-Fi after removing them from Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
I need you to fix the problem. Because the only solution is to have them off WI-FI, which renders their devices useless for the job they are made for. I have the latest available firmware on all my devices. This has been happening since December 2022, until then the equipment I have worked correctly. The devices are placed in the switch boxes, to restart them I have to disassemble half of the installation, it cannot be that you always give the solution to remove the devices and reactivate them in the application. Something is wrong with the firmware. It is not something of interference because in my house nothing has changed. Only the firmware of the sonoff devices has changed.
