Hey,
I’ve noticed many posts about the missing ability of some Zigbee devices on iHost, especially for Tuya devices. A typical case is missing RGB control for lights.
From the UI, you can only see types and control cards, such as temperature, light brightness, and water leakage status.
But behind the front end, they are supported by individual clusters.
And some brands love using modified clusters for their devices. For instance, a soil humidity sensor won’t use humidity as the cluster name. Also, similarly using presence instead of occupancy, as defined by Zigbee.
The scene buttons are also messy, but we’ve managed to add universal support for a small range of such devices by exposing all action triggers to scenes.
We will consider adding features on high requests, such as the ‘color_xy’ cluster.
In the meanwhile, before purchasing any third-party Zigbee devices, please search this forum; the Zigbee2MQTT database would also help. I would say the bottom line for a brand you are unfamiliar with is to make sure the wrapping box has the Zigbee logo.
Feel free to seek help on such capability here from us or other experienced users!
