is there a solution to change the fixed hysteresis of 1C on TRV?
For modern heating, 1C is too big hysteresys…
Is there an update planned to enable changing the hysteresis to 0,25/0,5C??

@SONOFF-Staff , any plan on this?
I wrote the same thing about a year ago and the answer was to write to the manufacturer. I wrote to ITEAD, but I didn’t even get a reply and nothing happens, while it would be enough to modify the firmware to set a different and smaller hysteresis.
We have optimized the firmware with the new feature “valve opening percentage”. You can configure a proper parameter for a better heating experience as the room temperature is affected by many sources like the room space, water temperature boiler control, etc.
The TRVZB supports an external temperature source for heating automation. this would also be a workaround for a better performance.
We will further evaluate the hysteresis optimization as it will affect the battery life span.
The external temperatur feature dont work! firmware 1.2.1.
today i cannot see the “never-working” feature anymore in the TRVZB.
anybody has stolen the feature from my TRVZBs.
the firmwareupdate ist standing by 99% in the app for 14 days. in the WEB it looks like OK.
that was not a good job!
I have 4 Sonoff TRVZB’s all on firmware 1.1.5 connected to Bridge Ultra, Firmware 1.2.1 update shows as available on ewelink WEB but NOT on ewelink app. When I start the updates on ewelink web, i just get “upgrding please wait”. And the ewelink app just says 1.1.5 is the latest version.
Has 1.2.1 been shelved ?
Hey both
Sorry for the inconvenience, in this case please contact support from the eWeLink app for further assistance.
ZBBridge-P already supports the external temperature source feature, other SONOFF Zigbee Gateway will be implemented in the following update.
Does the bridge ultra support the external temperature source feature currently on FW 1.4.0 or does it also need an update ?
battery life is less of an issue than high hysteresis … so simpy add options to change hysteresis like other manufacturer …
for modern heating it is important to have a small hysteresis or TPI ( TPI: Time Proportional and Integral is a stable, self-learning pulse control algorithm)
iHost, NSPanel Pro, ZBBridge-U will support this feature in DEC. We are working on it.
Thanks for your info. the optimization of the hysteresis will be implemented in the next update.
Would you please share the models from other manufacturers with such advanced TPI?
here is picture taken from netatmo pdf manual…
This will be a game changer for the TRVZB. It’s the only thing letting it down at the moment.
Is this just automations as on scenes or automations within the device itself, such as the automatic turn on/off?
I can’t find it. Assumed it was just an iHost User Interface thing but maybe I misunderstood the new feature.
As stated, the external feature will be supported on iHost, NSPanel Pro, and ZBBridge-U in DEC. We are working on it.
But 1) will the TRVZV and external temperature sensor be directly connected or via the hub and 2) can we adjust the temperature change size needed for the sensor to update?
Is 1 likely to ever change? In Zigbee2MQTT you can have Zigbee devices directly connect so it must be possible with the Zigbee technology.
2 I think is already available for some sensors in Zigbee2MQTT, which is an open source project I am fairly sure, so if you ever get stuck you could look at how they jumped that hurdle. It varies a bit with which sensor you pair, but I’m not sure it is sufficiently granular enough for radiator control.
How can we link Sonoff TRV with an external temperature on zigbee2mqtt ?
