Is there any way that we can adjust input values from the temp probe to the app? I have tried numerous other temperature probes and they all read about 4 degrees lower than when using an analog device leading me to believe the switch reads lower (same probes all tried) this creates a little problem for me because the switch will turn on at a given temp but the actual temp of the water is not the same as the boiler call out. So i have to figure out if it’s going to be 3 or 4 degrees and change accordingly. Would it be overly hard to have an input parameter adjustment category?
I don’t think you can with the app with the R2 but can with next ones as I’ve seen a calibration setting on my TH Elite. I think it was part of getting people to upgrade.
Is it connected to the web or an iHost? You can extract the value in node Red do some basic maths with a calculator node and then send it to a virtual TH sensor if you have an iHost.
Thanks for the info. I do not have an ihost. Maybe i will upgrade to the elite, the price isn’t bad at all
I think there is a newer version without a display that is even cheaper and probably has the function. I don’t have one to check though. I think it’s called the TH Origin. TH elite loses the earth connectors compared to the R2 so you might need to find a connector yourself, but I just went to the basement and got one. Just a bit unexpected to lose a connection when upgrading; means you can’t just upgrade super easily and might need an extra box for the earth wire. Overall the connectors are better though. I didn’t like either of the TH R2 connectors on the outside of the device when the case was still there.
