Nothing.
Do you use any Adblock on your network?
Because I noticed that the eWeLink servers are being blocked by Adblock!
That’s very strange! It went smoothly here! I imagine it has already restarted and everything…!
I don’t have any blocking. I have a static IP and I only block access to RDP port 8898.
I use VLAN segmentation, etc… and I also use Adblock on the network!
That’s a very strange case!
So far the updates have been working and nothing has changed that would affect.
Hm.. Interesting point.
Any information about the address for getting the update ? So that we can whitelist it.
I also use different vlan, though still allow limited connection to the internet.
Hello, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. Regarding the rollout progress of the new version, it is currently being pushed to users in batches. About 70% of users have already received it. We expect that by next Monday, all users will gradually receive the update notification, and your device will then automatically prompt you to upgrade. Please be patient for a few more days. Thank you for your understanding and support!
Hello, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. We take your feedback very seriously. To help us accurately analyze the issue you’re experiencing with connecting the bridge to iHost, could you please describe in detail what happened? For example: which brand and model of Matter bridge are you trying to connect? Thank you again for your patience and cooperation.
Strange system, when a critical update occurs, will it be distributed gradually? otherwise it won’t be cool, I’ll know it will take time. First of all, when you gave the notification, the updates were immediately available, it’s confusing.
Hello, we’re sorry for the confusion about our update process. To ensure a smooth experience for everyone, we first roll out new versions to a small group of users, and once we’re confident everything is stable, we gradually expand the release. That means your device may not get the update immediately — it might take a little while.
We appreciate your patience and will continue to improve how we communicate our release schedule. Again, our apologies for any confusion!
Hi @john.e.dixon
Do you have the new ihost 2.10.0 update? Is your ihost matter bridge working properly with virtual appliances?
I didn’t know this, now everything is clear. Thanks for the clarification.
Yes, I have had the update since Thursday, and at present with no problems with the Matter bridge on either physical nor virtual devices.
I am tied up with other things these days, but have the intention of trying other virtual device types when I have time - I’ll get back.
I was hoping for compatibilty for other Matter devices but I don’t there is any news there
Oh I see.. It was beta release for the first roll out. After that you need time to evaluate and then stable release roll out. I think just better to state it as beta, instead of just “official” release rollout.
All official, right ? X)
If you state “beta”, people may have patient / enough information to wait until it become stable.
Hello, thank you for your understanding and suggestions. The versions we push to users are always official releases, not beta versions. The reason we adopt a gradual (gray) rollout approach is to ensure a stable and reliable upgrade experience for all users – we verify stability with a small group first, then gradually expand the scope. We will continue to optimize our release process. Thank you again for your understanding and support!
