I have a constant problem with DW2-WiFi-L (Firmware version :1000.2.1130) since new. It quickly loses power and becomes dead.
It can turn off even after a few hours when it performs several open/close cycles. When it does nothing, it also discharges. It is usually able to last from a few to a dozen or so hours and 24-48H is almost winning the lottery.
The batteries are ok Panasonic Eneloop Ni-MH 800mAh… They are relatively new and have a lot of cycles left. I checked 16 pieces and made sure they were 100% charged. The effect is always the same… DW2-WiFi-L first shows that the battery level is full but very quickly within a few hours it starts to show that there is a low level and a little later it turns off at an unspecified moment.
The interesting thing is that when DW2-WiFi-L dies and I take out the batteries and check their charge, they are still full! Something strange is happening with DW2-WiFi-L!
How do I verify that it is dead… It does not connect to wifi, the LED does not light up, it looks like there is no power or it goes into some kind of suspension state. It is hard to say.
There is clearly something wrong with DW2-WiFi-L, probably something with the firmware or hardware. Or maybe my is damaged?
I have doubts because many people have probably had similar problems with DW2-WiFi-L.
For comparison, the old version of DW2-WiFi (no L, 1000.2.924) works on the same batteries for many months despite having at least five times greater activity.

Can you somehow direct the noise towards the Sonoff team so that they take a closer look at this because the situation is extremely tiring and it is impossible to use DW2-WiFi-L if I have to change its batteries every dozen or so hours, and it is also no longer usable because often when it should work it is already dead, which causes problems for me.
But they didn’t give me a number. I got a typical automatic email from “Aron in SONOFF support@itead.cc”. which also does not provide the number, only quotes my report and does not provide anything more.
Generally, we will unlist such topics as this is not a support centre. The behaviour of each user may be similar, but the factors behind them vary. Without enough information and proper troubleshooting. The topic could be flooded with less relevant ideas.
For popular and identified issues, we will merge and preserve them, as you may notice topics like the MINIR4M offline discussion, and I will help to maintain them for any needs/temporary workaround like a beta firmware request.
