Please add sensitivity control to the SONOFF Zigbee Motion Sensor | SNZB-03P

This is especially necessary when there are pets.

Motion sensors based on PIR technology (like the Sonoff SNZB-03P), detect changes in thermal radiation rather than specific objects. That’s why any moving heat source — a person, dog, or cat — can trigger an alarm. PIR sensors do not analyze the shape, size, or movement pattern of an object. Animals have a thermal signature similar to humans, especially larger dogs. Differentiation can be achieved through a combination of sensors: PIR + a camera with object recognition (e.g., AI in Home Assistant). Either way, it’s not a simple matter, and the SNZB-03P is unlikely to meet your needs.
I suggest switching to a radar-based sensor, which offers significantly more configuration options in this regard. For example, the Sonoff SNZB-06P utilizes 5.8GHz microwave radar to detect both moving and stationary individuals. I’ve experienced this issue myself, and to partially resolve it, I implemented motion ignoring during specific hours when only pets are at home or during the night.
I’ve seen various projects and ideas related to pets and small children. All of them were absurdly complicated. For example, a dog with an iBeacon collar. They all felt like trying to open an umbrella in your ass
