ok,get your mind!
Hi,
Is it possible to get iHost Matter bridge paired with 2 different Alexa Apps (2 différents Alexa accounts)?
I’ve successfully paired iHost on my wife’s Alexa (iPhone) through her Amazon Echo Pop. This way she can control (within Alexa App) all the Zigbee Light Switches that are linked to the iHost and bridged to Alexa.
I’d like to do the same on my personal Alexa Account, but I can’t. The Matter Tab in the iHost menu does not provide me a QR code for pairing anymore. If I want to get a QR code, I need to remove the current Alexa already paired/declared in the iHost. But then my wife loses all controls over the zigbee switches.
I also tried to get a numeric code, from my wife’s Alexa iHost paired entry (inside her Alexa App), and enter it manually while trying to add a new device within my Alexa App, but it does not work
…
Would anyone have a clue on how to do this? (if it’s possible?)?
Upgraded Cube to version 1.12.0 to fix the enable/disable bug.
The upgrade caused several new bugs
Now I have completely lost the Matter connection to Alexa and no matter how I try it won’t reconnect. Alexa sees the iHost but iHost won’t connect.
Along with no longer being able to connect matter to Alexa I’m getting a notification from Smart Things app that it has found a matter device and do I want to connect to it
iHost won’t let in connect either
I’m getting the notification about every hour which is getting really annoying
Can the device be controlled correctly after this error?
Hi,
Got the same, I had to reset my Echo Pop and remove pairing from the iHost Matter Tab. (basically start from scratch)…
But it did work after that.
It’s just that now, when Alexa discovers my Zigbee Switches (ZBMINIL2) it names them with a weird numerical string instead of calling them ‘Switch 1’, ‘Switch 2’ etc…
Anyway none of these naming are good, so I had to (again) rename them one by one to match the names I have set in iHost… Tedious but hopefully will be fixed with a future FW.
Yes it can!
There is still a problem with Google Home. all devices are offline.
it looks as if ihost is not connecting with matter.
if I restart ihost, pairing in the Google Home application is unavailable.
ihost in the Matter tab informs that it is paired with Google.
If I remove a device from ihost, it is still displayed in the Google Home application and is offline.
My iHost finally connected to Alexa this morning using matter
The numerical string you see is the device id #
That means it’s only its name that’s changed, but it’s still controlled properly, right?
Can you submit a copy of the syslog to me through the help center?
It’s a little bit more than only the device being renamed… the devices are being removed and added again which breaks automations (and resets their names).
Sure! I’ll send the syslog as soon as possible
Done @songal, I raised a request in help center with the number 196878
Hi, i just enter in the ihost family knowing the software is a working in progress. That said, i really like it so far. My hope is to move almost all my device to one single hub supporting matter in the near future.
In particular, i have many switches and curtains switches zigbee from legrand/bticino with netatmo. I paired succefull a spare one curtain switch k4027c to ihost and it works (after firmware update from 11 to 60) but not in matter bridge (so it is inusable for me).
Will the curtain switches be implemented in the future in matter bridge?
Thank you for your time and hard work
salvo
PS: i also pair the connected 2 ways switch K4003C (here the datasheet https://dar.bticino.com/asset/Documents/LE10356AC.pdf). it works well in matter bridge but the name exposed to alexa, homekit and google is the device id, not the one i choosed. Also when linked to his hub/gateway there is the possibility to program the led of the switch (for istance on when the light is off or vice-versa, i wondering if it’s possible to implement such feature.
Fails to install matter bridge to homekit; IHOST is just updated eWeLink CUBE Version
1.12.0
mind sharing more about your setup?
It just won’t let Matter bridge to get registered. IHOST, Homepod OS and phone iOS are all latest version.
Here is pairing video demonstration, it fails in the end. Hope its useful for anyone working on it. Meanwhile its not fixed IHOST is useless:
Can someone tell me how to pair my iHost with Homekit?
There are few ways. One of the easiest is supposed to be IHOST Matter bridge pairing with Homekit. However as per above - it does not work. Alternatively you can install and use Homebridge docker container on IHOST. Then Homebridge would allow be paired with Homekit.
Hi, can you please submit system logs via the feedback button on Settings page and let me know the ticket ID?
Feedback with logs submit. It should be on your system with my email address. However I do not have any ticket numbers.
Hi Teki, problem is not solved on latest ihost 1.12.2 version. Same problem. I submit all details on original ticket 197379
