It seems eWeLink app connection is tied to the NS Launcher therefore when home assistant is configured as launcher the app see the device as offline.

This issue will be solved in v4.2.0. Please refer to NSPanel Pro Roadmap and Co-Created Future

Additionally when Home Assistant is open the screen doesn’t turn off. Is there a fix for the screen part?

  1. Please update to v4.1.2.
  2. Then set Sleep and/or Screen saver in Top drop-down menu -> Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Display
  3. Make sure Keep screen on is disabled in Home Assistant companion app -> Settings -> Companion app -> Other settings.
