Hi @Milk . Just noticed that the firmware 4.5.2 has been released. I could successfully install it, but there is no changelog anywhere. Can you please share with us about this new firmware ? Thanks
Thank you for your interest. This release is a patch version that mainly adds support for several new Zigbee devices, including the Dual-Channel Smart Water Valve (SONOFF SWV-ZF2E/SWV-ZF2U) and the PIR Motion Sensor (SONOFF SNZB-03PR2), as well as optimizations and fixes for some known issues.
I have a problem with these new updates. They refresh the installation in a way that demands someone to be on site to start the installation process, choose language etc.
I operate remote sites I rarely visit and the recent update pushed the NSPanel Pros offline because there was nobody to complete the update process on site.
Please make it possible to update remotely.
- Regarding the eWeLink app crash when viewing logs, I was unable to reproduce the issue by following the steps shown in your video. Could you please reopen the eWeLink app after the crash and submit the app logs?
- The SWV-ZF2E is supported for Zigbee pairing on NSPanel Pro v4.5.2 and later. Could you confirm whether you encountered the pairing issue while using version 4.5.2? If so, please submit the NSPanel Pro logs as soon as possible. If the issue occurred more than one day ago, we recommend reproducing it and then submitting fresh logs.
- As for the inability to configure cyclic irrigation in a scene, I will discuss this with the responsible team to confirm the reason and whether support for this feature is planned.
Could you clarify whether you are looking for a way to remotely update the NSPanel Pro firmware?
If so, this feature is already available. Simply enable Auto Download New Versions. Once a new firmware version is detected and downloaded, you can remotely upgrade the device from eWeLink App → NSPanel Pro Device Page → Current Version.
Or are you referring to remotely performing the initial setup/onboarding process?
I investigated the problem in more detail and it occurred to me that ewelink shows in one part that I am going via BT and in another part that it is going via ZB. It would probably be a good idea to unify it.
Here ist corect:
May be the problem with me that the application crashes.
Yesterday I updated CubeOS, the new eWelink plugin is great. It found NSPP and synchronized devices from NSPP to CubeOS. When are you planning the same function for NSPP gen2? Does this synchronization run, the control is completely local and independent of the Cloud???
Hi,
- If the device switches to a Bluetooth connection (or automatically switches to Bluetooth mode when Zigbee goes offline), the water valve will display a Bluetooth icon. When the Zigbee connection is active, it will display a Zigbee icon instead.
- Could you please let me know which plugin you are referring to? What is its name? Under normal circumstances, the NSPanel Pro Gen 2 provides essentially the same software features as the previous NSPanel Pro.
This is an eWelink Smarthome integration add-on.
As you can see in the picture, the add-on sees NSPP Pro 120 and NSPP 80 and makes all NSPP devices available in CubeOS. But it doesn’t see NSPP Gen2.
I can realistically see how I will install NSPP gen2 and CubeOS on my own hosting. That is a better solution than iHost now.
I see, so that’s the feature you’re referring to. Thanks for clarifying.
I will forward your suggestion to the iHost team and recommend adding support for the NSPanel Pro Gen 2 as soon as possible. Thank you for your feedback!
It is in your interest to support your device in devices.
I have two NSPanel Pros that had required somebody to physically enter all the details afresh. Even I am speaking the matter bridge is broken and I cannot fix it remotely.
From where can I activate auto updates?
Great. But not really. It restarts every hour, sometimes every 10 minutes. Both Nspanel pro 120 and Nspanel pro 86. The chime at startup is annoying, which is nice once a year, but not every 10 minutes. It was the same with the previous firmware, but now with the new one it is even more frequent. At the moment it can only be used to show the time. But it is an expensive toy.
Try restart.
I have restarted numerous times.
You can find this setting under:
Swipe down on the screen → Settings → About → Block Firmware Updates.
The previously manufactured NSPanel Pro 86 and NSPanel Pro 120 received support for the Matter Bridge feature in firmware version 4.1.0. For devices produced later, this feature is available in the factory firmware by default.
Could you please check whether your current NSPanel Pro supports this feature? If your firmware version is 4.1.0 or later and the issue still exists, please submit the NSPanel Pro logs as soon as possible, and I will investigate the cause further.
Hi, This device is planned to be supported in an iHost release scheduled for July. I will keep you updated and share any new information as soon as it becomes available.
