Ns panel pro offline! it is completely unacceptable

This is no longer just frustrating—it is completely unacceptable.

Every time a new update is released, something critical stops working. After installing the latest NSPanel Pro update, my system went completely offline and has remained that way for the past two days.

The consequences are serious. My irrigation system is controlled by the NSPanel Pro, which means it has also stopped working. My plants have now gone without water for two days because of a software update that was supposed to improve the product.

To make matters worse, I now have to drive 60 km just to attempt a manual restart, and I have no confidence that this will even solve the problem.

How many more times do we have to experience this? Why are users repeatedly acting as beta testers after every update? Reliability should be the highest priority for a smart home system. Instead, every update creates uncertainty and forces users to worry about whether their automation will still work the next day.

I have invested significant time and money into this ecosystem because I trusted its reliability. Unfortunately, that trust is rapidly disappearing.

This issue needs immediate attention. Please stop releasing updates that break existing installations and focus on delivering stable, thoroughly tested software. Smart home systems should make life easier—not create expensive, time-consuming problems for their users.

Hi, it seems you have the same problem that regularly happens to me.

I totally understand and agree with you. Updates cause me problems too—like when a customer calls because something isn’t working. It always turns out to be an update; I’ve said repeatedly in older threads that updates are a bit of a lottery. Fortunately, the situation is improving.

Here’s a tip that helps: set it up so you can remotely toggle the power to the NSPP. There’s no better solution right now. I don’t understand why they didn’t include a watchdog timer to automatically restart the device.

Hi, sorry for only seeing this post now. Regarding the issue you encountered, I’ll help you investigate and resolve it. First, I need to confirm a few details with you:

  1. Is your device currently running the latest version 4.6.0? If yes, there is a remote restart button available in the eWeLink app, so you don’t need to manually restart the device.

  2. Is the issue still occurring now? If it is, please submit the NSPanel Pro logs as soon as possible. (This needs to be done on the device: swipe down on the NSPanel Pro screen → Settings → About → Feedback → Submit.)

Please note that the logs are only stored for two days. To prevent the relevant logs from being overwritten, please submit them shortly after reproducing the issue. I will check the logs as soon as they are available and help investigate the problem.
