Today I bought a new s2 and was horrified by the terrible creaking, floating sound !!! What’s wrong with the new product ??? And now a suggestion for improvement. Since the camera has a zone definition, why not use them in scenarios ??? For example, when a person appears in a certain zone, then turn on the light.
Hi there, sorry for your unpleasant experience with your CAM-S2. Would you be able to record a video of the issue you’re experiencing, and submit it via the in-app “Help & Feedback”(or you can send it to me with forum Message)? This would greatly help us identify and address the problem.
Regarding your suggestion about using camera zones as scene triggers, you can select the S-CAM 2(motion detected)as the trigger.
I’ll record a video with sound a little later. As for improvement, I want that when I approach, for example, the countertop area, the countertop lighting itself turns on, and so on. Simply turning on the lighting by detection is not quite suitable. It’s just that if the camera has such a function as zone detection, then why not improve it???
currently, users can create an IF-THEN scene where: IF the camera detects motion (the type of motion or person detection is based on the user’s settings in the camera’s “motion detection”), THEN they can choose which device to activate, and what action to perform.
Are you looking for a feature where devices would trigger when a user is approaching the zone but hasn’t actually entered the detection zone yet?
another problem with the new sonoff camera. tried to connect it via rtsp to the dahua recorder and nothing works. The old slim works via rtsp perfectly, except for the sound, but the new one refuses. and it is not in the support in cast.
Have you tested other clients that support RTSP?
No, I haven’t tried it. There are no other clients.
Please check the RTSP is enabled in the eWeLink App, and fills in the right address, account, password in the monitoring client, RTSP link is recommend to paste if the client supported.
BTW, you can check the RTSP functional via a software named VLC.
rtsp works in VLC, but it doesn’t want to in the video recorder. I deleted the old Slim from the video recorder, thinking that maybe there was some conflict between them and tried to load the new Slim2 and all without success. I returned the old version of Slim to its place by performing the same manipulations as with the new one and it loaded. I don’t understand what’s wrong. The settings in the cameras are identical.
