Hello. My zb devices have been falling off the zb bridge pro for a couple of months. First, the RGB bulbs of a different manufacturer disappeared. I thought that the problem was precisely that the bulbs were not Sonoff. But now other zb sonoff devices have started to disappear too. They don’t connect anymore even by pressing the pairing button. Also, the scenario schedule has started to fail for about 3 hours. I suspect that this is all because the zb bridge pro is on red channel 15. About a year ago, I switched from the red channel to the green one and subsequently spent about a week restoring all the scenarios, timers, and organizing all the devices. Is it really impossible to figure out how to avoid such a headache??? My house has gone crazy and I will soon be kicked out because of my smart home toys.
Ah, the joys of smart home rebellion! Your Zigbee Bridge Pro seems to be staging a mutiny, leaving you stranded in a war between convenience and chaos. Channel 15 might be cursed—try switching, rebooting, and checking for interference. If all else fails, prepare for a life of manual light switches and good old-fashioned inconvenience. I hope you don’t get evicted over this high-tech drama. Hang in there!
Place the hub somewhere else. I know from personal experience that a 3m difference can do wonders. This hub has a weak antenna and is quite sensitive to physical position. Connect it to a battery and move around the house and observe if any place has better behavior.
Change the channel for 2.4ghz wifi if you have it.
Check what RSSI devices have at different times. Disconnection occurs quite often when you have higher dBi (70-80dbi up).
Think about strengthening the signal in different places.
There is probably nothing more you can do about it… Maybe your hub has a defect.
I don’t understand what’s going on at all!!! I took a spare zb bridge pro and took it to another house, connected it to another router. I connected a couple of devices to the bridge. The connection was normal. But problems started when I tried to create scenarios. I can’t create any scenarios in my account at all, neither with zb devices, nor with wifi devices. The program starts to freeze and I just have to close it. I tried to log out of the account, rebooted the phone, installed a new update - nothing helps.
Strange, I have no idea. Maybe Putin wants to control your home.
Uninstall ewelink and install the latest version. Check if the hub does not have a new fw to install. Remove the hub from the account and add it again. Check another phone. Maybe it’s some problem with the internet.
Putin wants to control many things, including my life. I connected devices to another account and everything works fine, all scenarios are created. I conclude that the problem is in my main account, where all my devices are located. I can’t understand how this can be? There is one thing, I received a message in Google Play about increasing the cost of a subscription to Ewelink by almost 2 times. It seemed suspicious to me that it specifically said “Ewelink subscription” and with the Ewelink logo, and not “Ewelink cast” and the Cast logo. But I still confirmed my consent. Well, this is Google Play and it is doubtful that there would be some kind of catch.
As far as I remember, the subscription is not sold in-app, so you can’t get offers from Google Play. Unless I’m mistaken, an annual subscription costs 9.99USD and hasn’t gotten more expensive in a long time.
I don’t know what they offered me to buy. Everything is clearly indicated on the screenshot. And today I went into the bank’s program and saw a message that payment was denied. Thank God I haven’t topped up this card for a long time.
Never click on the links that are in the message especially when it concerns money !!!
For Ewelink, pay directly to them through PayPal. https://vip.ewelink.cc/
The thing is that there was no offer to pay for the subscription, there you had to click “agree or not” with the increase in the price of the subscription. Well, I’m already a VIP client of Evelink and if the price went up, then what can you do, I clicked “yes” and they tried to withdraw money from the card. Well, everything was sort of resolved with that. They didn’t withdraw it and that’s good. I assumed that this was the case that caused the problems with Evelink, I thought that maybe I caught a virus. Everything works very poorly, it’s especially unclear why I can’t create scenarios in one account (the main one), but in another without problems. When creating scenes, the program freezes and I have to reboot it. The phone has enough RAM.
As for the app crashing when creating scenes, even though your phone has enough RAM, it could be tied to the spoofing issue or maybe your main account got messed up.
Maybe try reaching out to eWeLink’s support and let them know what happened. If your account was compromised, they might be able to clean it up or reset something on their side.
In the future, do as @morgan says and save yourself troubles.
Does the issue still exist? Please submit a support ticket in eWeLink App - Profile - Help & Feedback - Top right corner ‘Feedback’,
The subscription is 9.9 USD/year, the price change is caused by the fluctuation of exchange rates.
Advanced Plan was launched on Google Play Store in September 2021.
Really? But probably not in the typical way through Google Play, right? That’s what I meant. I’ve always paid without going through Google.
Yes, the subscription needs to be processed through Google Play.
“Well then, I graciously skipped that ‘pleasure’ and paid directly on the eWeLink Advanced Plan site. No commission for Google. Sorry, Big G, not with me!
Right move
When zigbee plays up its usually interference with wifi. I dont have yr kit but for me my wifi and the neighbours wifi was clashing with my zigbee channel.
Set wifi to 1 or 6 and 2.4 ghz to a 20mhz band and zigbee on 25 which is wifi channel 11 at the opposite end and that may help as nothing overlaps.
Just check what your neighbours use first of course and adjust but stick to those 3 channels
Zigbee uses 2.4ghz same as wifi!
Thanks to the support service, the problem was solved. One of the zb micros was creating some kind of interference for the zb bridge. I deleted it from the account and everything started working fine. The question now is what to do with that zb micro?
I didn’t see you mention the issues with the ZB Micro in your previous messages. Could you share more details about what’s happening with it?
