A few days ago my porch light (WiFi BASIC Gen5 BASIC-1GS and ZigBee SNZB-04P + scene) stopped working as the scene I created demanded. I didnt check it as didnt have a time. Today, on eWelink app, couldnt switch on lights driven by Orb-ZBW2 Zigbee Double Smart Wall Switch | MINI-ZB2GS-E. The App shows “FAILD. PLEASE TRY AGAIN”. The switch was working well manually.
I removed device. Re-adding the switch to ZB Bridge-U was showing the same message.
I found that all 7 ZIGBEE devices didnt work. ZB Bridge-U lost connection to all of them.
Unplagged ZB Bridge-U from power for 10sec, plugged again and all working fine. Almost.
After adding the switch back to the bridge it works well on eWelink app. Manuall using is problematic!
Switch settings: factory. Schedule, Timer, Loop Timer, Stepper all OFF.
Software Ver: 1.0.7, Bought: Mar 4 2026 from sonoff.tech
The problem now:
after pressing any button to switch it on, the light stays on for 0.5 second only.
after pressing any button to switch it off, the light stays off for 0.5 second only.
I run it locally but as soon as I want to use Cloud services I have similar problems. If you look at the forum there are more people who have devices that don’t work. In my opinion it is missing on the server side if you want to solve it contact support.
Its ZigBee. Works without internet, and server. Right? Settings too?
There must be something inside the switch.
Settings / Switch Mode / Puls Mode / … its now “EDGE MODE” if changing to “PULS MODE” says “FAILD. PLEASE TRY AGAIN”.
Question: does settings going to server, or bridge, or… ?
Question: router mode works automaticly or has to be setup?
Ok. Sorted.
Problem was in comunication with… anything the switch has to connect to set up the settings.
I tried again to change to PULS MODE and it worked this time.
Now the switch working well.
Thanks for attention.
Hello, I’m glad to hear the switch is working normally now. It’s been a few days, so I wanted to check in—are your ZBBridge-U and Orb-ZBW2 Zigbee Double Smart Wall Switch (MINI-ZB2GS-E) still running stably?
In your post, you mentioned that all 7 Zigbee devices became unavailable at the same time. Could you share a bit more detail about what happened? when those 7 devices stopped working, were other Zigbee-related functions still working normally—such as adding/pairing new Zigbee sub-devices?
We have a known issue that we’re currently working on: starting from version 1.18.0, the Zigbee module may occasionally crash, which can cause all Zigbee functions to stop working. If what you experienced sounds similar, could you please submit feedback and attach your logs? We’ll investigate and work to resolve it as soon as possible.
Hi. All is good now. I updated the bridge to 1.19, and I have uploaded the logs here.
The problem was described in the first post. I realized that something was wrong with the smart switch functionality, and during the reinstallation later. When I opened the balcony door, the door sensor didn’t work in the eWeLink app and didn’t switch off the heat pump. None of the Zigbee devices were working. So, I replugged the bridge. During this time, everything looked good in the app; the devices sections were in full color, with no signs of malfunction. ZBB-U_1773875850232.tar (2.6 MB)
