Hi Guys
I just see that my MINIR4M’s updated the firmware from 1.02 to 1.2.0. Does anybody know what’s new? Does Sonoff publish somewhere release notes of firmware?

It should have fixed an issue that causes your MINIR4M losing connection with Matter platforms.
Please follow this category, SONOFF Staff will update logs for the device soon.
SONOFF just updated the log:
@ward Will the MiniR4M firmware be added to the Home Assistant Matter Server through the CSA portal (https://webui.dcl.csa-iot.org/) so that updates can be completed through Home Assistant?
Please contact @SONOFF-Staff for more information on updates via Matter DCL.
@Ward @SONOFF-Staff @Daniel_Zhan When is the MiniR4M firmware expected to be added to the Home Assistant Matter Server through the CSA portal (Distributed Compliance Ledger) so that Home Assistant can manage updates?
Considering that MiniR4M is connected to HA Matter integration and also shared with the eWeLink app, why does that prevent firmware updates? Isn’t it meant to follow one unified update procedure as a Matter-certified device?
When NSPanel Pro serves as the Matter hub for MiniR4, how come there’s no way to confirm its connection or access information regarding any shared fabrics?
For a Matter-certified device, it performs rather poorly in this respect. Please comment.
@Daniel_Zhan @Daniel_Zhan Regrettably, SONOFF staff is silent and gives the impression of being poorly interested in customer feedback and expectations. Oh, do they regularly pull this off, or is it just an exceptionally busy time at the office?
If I understand correctly, Nspanel pro is not officially certified as a matter device. It is a beta device that uses the company’s general certificate.
Certyfikat ewelink cube.
Therefore, it cannot use the matter logo. Sonoff has only 4 devices with the matter certificate.
( MINIR4M, M5 matter, MINI - D,)
At the moment I have noticed that only eve matter devices update using hub matter. The rest of the companies use their own applications (e.g. Meross, sonoff). I don’t know what the situation is with aqara?)
The OTA update via DCL Matter will be available in Q3, our team is working on it.
We have enrolled in the CSA’s FastTrack Recertification Program which enables us to integrate the DCL for secure and compliant firmware updates moving forward.

So it takes time to move forward with all of this stuff.
@Daniel_Zhan Thanks for the information. It’s good to know that something is being done about it, although the Matter implementation in general is disappointing.
One (recurring) question remains. Since NSPanel Pro serves as the Matter hub for MiniR4, how is it that there is no way to confirm its connection or access information about shared fabrics? When tabs are displayed in the app or on the screen of the panel itself, the Matter protocol connection does not exist.
The MiniR4M can be added to the eWeLink App as an eWeLink WiFi device, without relying on NSPro as a Matter Hub, at which point it can be updated with firmware in eWeLink.
Of course, by putting it into Matter pairing status in eWeLink App, it can be added as a standard Matter switch by other Matter platforms, allowing other platforms to manage its fabrics.
I hope this info is helpful.
Does this mean that the MINIR4M essentially connects to the eWeLink platform as a standard WiFi device and is only made available as a Matter device? So, it’s practically the same as the MINIR4, huh? Quite the plot twist, isn’t it? Alexa’s playing favorites: seeing your device twice—once via eWeLink integration and again as a Matter. It’s like Alexa can’t make up her mind! Who knew smart devices could come with so much drama?
