Hello,
I had a small problem reconnecting Wiz Matter bulbs that were initially configured to the wrong 2.4Ghz SSID (SSID of a neighboring Wi-Fi hotspot).
A detection storm problem on my network occurred with the Matter device configuration.
Solution: Each 6/7 Wi-Fi hotspot connected via LAN (TPLink Omada SDN) has its own 2.4Ghz SSID specific to its zone. With a single SSID for 2.4Ghz home automation devices, roaming was problematic: Some lights would sometimes connect to neighboring Wi-Fi hotspots because these lights don’t support the Wi-Fi 6/7 lock feature.
This caused neighboring lights connected to two different 2.4Ghz IPv4 SSIDs to constantly detect new devices in a loop and occupy the hotspots at more than 70%, even though Matter mainly uses IPv6 managed by my ISP.
Bulbs configured to a neighboring base station’s SSID during the MATTER connection frequently disconnect from the iHost. So I deleted them from the iHost, but I got an error “126” when verifying MATTER credentials to re-pair them.
It seems that there are still some configuration residues stored in the iHost.
Until a new MATTER connection is successful, the WIZ app doesn’t generate a new code…
