Does anyone know of a light detection sensor compatible with iOS that runs on batteries (powered as a last resort would also work)? I need it to provide values so I can select an action based on the amount of light present.
wifi or zigbee?
I was planning to use this Zigbee device, the Aqara T1 light sensor.
So you have a Zigbee hub, which one?
I have the ihost
Lots of things have luminosity but as a secondary feature, so the trigger is something else and so it will send a luminosity every now and again but not trigger on it. Would that be enough or would you want it to trigger with the luminosity?
My intention is to trigger it with the luminosity. Currently, I use the Big Timer, but it’s insufficient with the time changes. I prefer to try using the luminosity.
last time I tried just a luminosity sensor it did not work. Now if you go to “add device” an official list of compatible devices is linked to. I would probably just select one of them. Don’t know how often they update or how they trigger though.
Lop I’ll try to see what comes out of this experiment
