Lighting sensor

Good day, is ewelink planning to add a lighting sensor where it is possible to read the current value and then work in the ewelink application? Technically, there are many devices on the market, but none support ewelink and wait until sonoff produces its own? It is better to add support for those that exist.

They already have one as an option in their node Red capabilities option and it has an icon already. I suggested a while ago a generic DIY/Maker zigbee device type. That way you could just buy an ESP32C6/H2/?C5 and a luminosity sensor then use the espressif luminosity zigbee example from their GitHub pages to add one yourself. This would allow the addition of any device type in the examples folder and not just luminosity. Pretty sure there used to be a WiFi maker device, but Wifi is energy hungry and not sure it wasn’t just binary.

thank you, interesting option, however, for the purpose of my use it is quite extreme, I would need to integrate such a device into the network of the gateway pro or the gateway ultra to make the system user-friendly. I place a lot of emphasis on the system as a whole functioning under one ecosystem, I do not want different applications. but even so, it is an interesting idea for fun that is worth trying

Hello, regarding the gateway compatibility issue for the light sensor you mentioned, eWeLink has already supported some models of similar devices.

We suggest you first visit the device function reference table below to check if your device is on the compatibility list:

If the list does not include the device you need, to help our technical team with adaptation evaluation, please provide the specific purchase link or model information of the product. Thank you for your understanding and support
