hello, please advise, is there any Ir driver with ewelink support? I would like to control the air conditioner or other device that has a remote control.
Thereâs none. What would you like to do? Switch it on and off?
Yes, but also set the temperature, for example with the air conditioning. And turn off and on the TV, but not disconnect the power supply. The fact that there is no device does not mean that there cannot be TUAY such a device has other platforms, so why not eWELK would be found a dozen applications for its use.
I know some devices can convert IR AC to Matter platforms, but eWeLink has yet to support this.
I saw some alternatives, though, such as a Matter IR learning dongle that exposes multiple buttons to Matter platforms as switches. But Iâm not sure if you can find any on Aliexpress.
For Tuya, do you happen to have an iHost? I think Node-Red can be a workaround.
Thatâs right. Thereâs a Tuya device that seems to combine IR and RF 315/433MHz. It has learning capability. I believe itâs some kind of generic on, with no name on it.

yes but it does not support ewelink
or yes
thatâs why Iâm looking for a device that ewelink supports.
Donât you get it? Thereâs no such device. See @ward proposal.
does not exist at all or only for ewelink. sorry for asking my english is not so good the question was intended to make you think that instead of producing several similar buttons, sonoff could think about new products and complete some existing ones. and ewelink as a platform would be useless without manufacturersâ hardware, so they should try harder to expand devices.
Read the answers and figure it out yourself. Itâs pretty clear. Sonoff could have produced some shrinky dinks but did not. Is eWeLink platform useless because of it?
it seems to me that you want to argue. no, ewelink is useless, I didnât say that, I have over 60 devices on its platform, but Iâm just saying that development is important. and the one is a little behind, it cannot be denied that most products come a year or two later than the competition. I still believe in ewelink. and if you want to argue, you better not answer.
So you are a believer, arenât you? Good!
I think thatâs a good time to explain why many brands do not make IR Blaster, even if they are useful.
It is hard and takes a ton of effort to develop/maintain a large IR signal library to work with major appliance brands and models. More work is also needed for the front-end design and server-side changes. IMHO, the market has made it clear that the sales may not meet dev costs, or every top vendor would ship such devices, just like a plain motion sensor.
In the end, that is a choice of vendors to make.
*Comments are on my own.
If you have a sonoff zigbee bridge you can take a chance on the IR blaster working under zigbee in link below, might work. Let us know.

I tried this but it doesnât work under ewelink.
Hi, your best bet would have been the zigbee version as I mentionned, not the wifi. I have had success with brands other than Sonoff under zigbee in ewelink as the protocol is universal. Pls see my post on zigbee compatibility (for me at least) here:
In case you want to give it another try there is this Zigbee IR blaster available on Aliex:
Thks for the feedback
Itâs more realistic to use a Matter IR blaster and wait for ewelink to support the Matter thermostat and room AC.
