After downloading the 4.9 upgrade I get the error of Insufficient storage space. I have HA installed and some small tools but nothing big.
I haven’t started the upgrade yet.
Anyone else seen this?
Sorry to spell it out like this, but the search function is there for a reason. This has been discussed plenty of times before, and there’s no shortage of advice on what to do. Hopefully, some of the older threads will point you in the right direction. See this one by @MichaelLearnsToCode, and knock yourself out. ![]()
Whilst I was searching for someone that had had this specific problem with 4.9 and didn’t see that so posted.. I also can cancel out of the error and the unit still works as normal so didn’t know if it was exactly the same… this also I didn’t see in my search..
but thank you for being sorry for spelling it out to me.. I’ll try harder next time..
It appears to be the same kind of error.

Absolutely, it should help. Clearing out temporary files like logs will definitely reclaim some space.
Let’s be honest, the NSPanel Pro isn’t exactly blessed with generous storage. Then there’s F-Droid, enthusiastically scattering files everywhere like a digital confetti cannon. On a phone, who cares in most cases. On the NSPP, though, it becomes a problem.
Sorry for the trouble. You can confidently delete those log files without affecting the system’s normal operation.
Great thanks guys. Will perform and confirm back.
appreciate you all replying
Thank you very much for your feedback. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Deleting this 2 GB log file will not affect system operation. In addition to deleting it manually, you can also keep our app running; the app is expected to automatically delete the file on September 27.
A 2 GB log file is indeed abnormal. Our project currently uses a third-party Android library as the logging tool, and this does not match the logging configuration we set for it. This is very unusual, and it is the first time we have encountered this issue despite using the library for so long. Next, we will analyze the source code of this third-party library or develop our own logging tool to resolve the problem.
After the 2 GB log file is deleted, we would also appreciate it if you could take a moment to submit the panel logs (Settings → About → Feedback) and provide the device ID. This will give us more information to analyze the issue.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Sadly I wiped out with factory reset the device and updated to the last firmware version. If this problem arises again i will send feedback.
You didn’t set this password yourself. It’s the password for the built-in FileManagement editing mode. The password is smatek@123. This password was posted on the official eWeLink Forum and should work, although I can’t guarantee it will work with your particular firmware version.
According to eWeLink Forum, you can safely delete the old OTA files from:
/data/data/com.eWeLinkControlPanel/files/ota/
Thank you, @jam3 , for the detailed feedback. This was a known issue in an older version.
@kraots94 @mark20
Could you please confirm whether the file has now been deleted successfully and whether the NSPanel Pro is running normally again?
If this issue occurs again in a newer version, please send me a message and provide the device ID. I’ll check it as soon as possible.
