Since 2 updates ago I’m having issue with home assistant app to be unstable. After some time I only see a black screen while the screen is on. Touching it multiple times doesn’t do anything and sometimes the whole system crashes and reboots doing this.
I have reinstalled home assistant app already, but still same behavior and even after updating to 4.6.0 was nog a solution.
So I only use it for HA and now it is almost useless.. that is a bit annoying.
It’s not the Home Assistant app causing this. Version 4.6.0 is the eWeLink Cast app, and that one has known issues with black‑screen freezes and random reboots. HA itself is fine, and the problem is entirely on the Cast side as it seems.
Ok hope they solve it soon.. starts to annoy me that with updates I lose stability.

Also, may I ask approximately how many devices you have in your Home Assistant instance? If you have a large number of devices or a complex dashboard, could you also try using a simpler dashboard layout and see if that improves the issue?
it’s same issue that i described in my other post. While using Home Assistant, after a while it gets unresponsive : just Home Assistant app is open, but no other nspanel background apps are running like wake-on-proximity, or wifi and ewelink connection. Pressing return to home button just restarts the nspanel’s interface, and everything reloads again (some sort of reboot). This issue happens randomly, sometimes after 2 days, sometimes after few hours, sometimes after 5 days. This happens just on NSPanel Pro 120, i have a NSPanel PRO Gen2 and that doesn’t have this issue. @Milk

I don’t want to be accused of cross-posting but the issue you are facing is not really Sonoff’s fault and pretty common on mature HA systems.
The cause is the volume of state updates your HA server is higher than your panel can keep up with. The Sonoff NSPanel devices are awesome but the RK3326 SoC is from 2018 and equivalent to an iPhone 6 and HA dashboards expect something more modern.
There is a solution with the free ha-paneld Android app to render HA dashboards that solves this exact problem. You can find it on github and it has tons of NSPanel specific documentation to make all Sonoff panels feel awesome on Home Assistant.
The “this isn’t Sonoff’s fault” explanation sounds nice, but let’s be real: the RK3326 struggles not because HA is “too mature”, but because it’s a 2018 Android relic.
As for the “solution” on GitHub - let’s keep expectations grounded. ha‑paneld is a well‑written Android service, but there are no hidden gems or groundbreaking NSPanel‑specific tricks waiting there. It smooths out WebView hiccups and keeps the socket alive, sure, but it doesn’t change the architecture or magically turn the panel into something it isn’t.
IMHO this is problem of any Smart Home solution…
My (manual) switches and lights work even beeing 80 years old. And, here we speak about 8 years old “relict”. And yes, I undestand it. I also do not use iPhone 6 anymore. But homes are build to last for (many) decades. At least here in Europe.
Comparing an 80‑year‑old manual switch to an Android‑based smart panel is a nice rhetorical move, but it doesn’t really map to how these devices work 
The RK3326 is an 8‑year‑old relic in the context that matters here: it’s an outdated Android SoC asked to behave like a modern Home Assistant panel. And the bottleneck isn’t “homes should last decades”, it’s the fact that the panel has to push every HA update through Android → WebView → dashboard, which is exactly where the slowdown comes from.
Ok then the main question… what now? I want to use HA and few updates ago it worked fine and stable.
The stability of Home Assistant doesn’t depend on NSPanel Pro.
NSPanel is just one possible frontend, and it happens to be based on an outdated Android stack that struggles with modern dashboards.
If you want a stable HA experience, use a device that isn’t limited by WebView and an 8‑year‑old SoC — even a cheap tablet will outperform NSPanel Pro by a huge margin.
The question isn’t “what now?”, the question is “why insist on using hardware that’s objectively the bottleneck?”.

I start to doubt if the issue is only with HA.. I have bought 2 power plugs, connected them and they work fine. So remote on off was with no delay.
After the current issue where HA stalls, the NSPanel reboot, the devices went offline… I have plugged out a plug and back in and they still remain offline.
