hi @Milk , about my old issue, just wanted to let you know that even on firmware 4.8.0 my NSPanel Pro 120, freezing after few days of displaying home assistant app as home screen. Everything in the background is not working like local server (i cant access the panel via ewelink app or local web page), the proximity sensor not working, When i press the accesibility button to go to home screen, the device reboots itself. My opinion is that the device runs out of ram, and background running apps are stopped. THis issue is not happening on NSPanel Pro Gen2. Check my video on this post: NSPanel Pro frv.: 4.5.0 feedback - #25 by Derex
Thank you for your feedback. We’re preparing a special test version specifically for your device, with additional system logging enabled to help us determine why the process is being terminated.
I’ll let you know once the version has been deployed to your device. After upgrading, if the issue occurs again, please make sure to submit the NSPanel Pro logs as soon as possible so we can analyze it further.
The update appeared for my device and had installed it. I will keep an eye on it and try to submit the logs as soon as it happens. usually it happens after 1-2 days. Thank you, i will get back to you here.
I have a different but potentially related firmware 4.8.0 issue on an NSPanel Pro Gen2.
Yesterday, 18 August 2026, I installed the latest OTA firmware update offered directly through the original SONOFF user interface on my NSPanel Pro Gen2.
The update itself appeared to install normally. However, after the automatic reboot, the panel no longer completes the boot process.
It now remains permanently stuck on the SONOFF boot logo.
What I have already tried
I completely disconnected the NSPanel Pro Gen2 from mains power for an extended period and restarted it twice.
Unfortunately, this did not change anything. After every power cycle, the device again remains permanently on the SONOFF boot logo.
I have not:
-
performed a factory reset
-
pressed the internal BOOT/RESET buttons
-
attempted to flash unofficial firmware
-
modified the device after the failed update
Network diagnostics
Interestingly, the device is not completely dead.
It still connects to Wi-Fi and receives its normal IP address.
I performed a continuous ping test for several minutes. The NSPanel Pro Gen2 responded continuously:
-
TTL = 64
-
usually around 2–5 ms latency
-
occasional higher Wi-Fi latency
-
no periodic connectivity interruptions
Therefore, it does not appear to be in a boot loop. The network stack remains operational while the display stays permanently on the SONOFF logo.
I also tested several TCP ports from another device on the same network.
The following ports were all closed/unreachable:
22, 53, 80, 443, 1883, 5555, 8000, 8080, 8081, 8123, 8883, 9000, 9090
So neither the local web interface nor ADB over TCP is currently accessible.
Important
The NSPanel Pro Gen2 was working normally immediately before installing the OTA update.
The boot problem occurred for the first time directly after the automatic reboot following the firmware update.
I have already opened a support ticket with ITEAD/SONOFF and supplied photos and diagnostic information, but I have not received a response yet.
@Milk, could you please check whether this is already a known issue with the current NSPanel Pro Gen2 firmware rollout?
I would especially appreciate information about:
-
an official recovery procedure for the NSPanel Pro Gen2
-
whether the BOOT/RESET buttons can be used for recovery
-
an official recovery firmware/image
-
reinstalling the current firmware without access to the normal UI
-
or rolling back to the previous working firmware
I can provide my support ticket number, device information, screenshots, additional network diagnostics or perform specific debugging/recovery steps if required.
Has anyone else with an NSPanel Pro Gen2 experienced the same issue after updating to firmware 4.8.0?
Hi, I’m sorry you’re experiencing this issue. I’ll help investigate and work with you to resolve it.
Before that, could you please help confirm the following information?
- Could you record a short video showing the issue?
- Please send me your device ID privately. You can find it on the NSPanel Pro settings page in the eWeLink app. If you are not logged in to the app, you can also take a photo of the QR code on the back of the device and send it to me.
Thank you.
@Milk, thank you for looking into this.
I have attached a short video showing the behavior directly after the NSPanel Pro Gen2 is powered again with 230 V.
In the video you can see the following sequence:
-
the panel starts after power is restored
-
the SONOFF logo appears
-
the startup animation runs
-
afterwards, there is still a noticeable brightness adjustment on the display
-
however, the SONOFF logo then remains permanently visible
After that, nothing else happens. The panel does not continue to the normal user interface, even if I leave it powered on for several hours.
This behavior is reproducible after every power cycle.
I will send you the Device ID separately via private message.
Please let me know if you need any additional video, logs, photos, or if you would like me to perform any specific recovery or diagnostic steps.

Me too
NSPanel is becoming increasingly unreliable.
I would suggest focus on stability instead of adding more facility that may not work
Hi @Milk , so the device issues happened again, on 4.8.1 you sent. Please check logs:
