Do you have access to your router admin page? You can try to access ihost via IP.
Some tricks to quickly find the IP of a specific device:
Power cycle the device, and the recent devices would have a longer expiring time of its IP
You can search its hostname - in this case search iHost
If you can only use IP to access iHost, considering bind a specific IP in your DHCP range to your iHost (MAC address)
Same here. Ihost has ip in the router page but I cannot access it through wifi even if they are on the same local network
Can you do the ping test on your PC?
I already tried connecting it with my unused wifi router. I was able to access it. The problem seems to be my internet router. It is ZTEF670L and I can access the superadmin of the router. I just dont know what settings to change in my router to access my ihost. Btw my internet router assigned an IP address to my ihost. Thanks
If you have an IP it is not DHCP. You don’t need DNS. I assume you’re going to the IP address and not the iHost.local , so it must be Port 80 your router’s firewall is blocking in between your computer and the iHost.
If your router lets you set firewall rules give your computer and the iHost static IP V4 addresses on the router and then allow traffic in the firewall between those two devices on port 80. Alternatively, I don’t think the iHost does HTPPS and it is possible to set browsers to only use encrypted pages, but if it works on the same computer/browser it’s not that.
