Once this new firmware version, anoucing the support for the Video And Audio stream coming from a IP camera supporting the matter V1.5 where can I access the video and audio stream on the Ihots web Browser menu? I have added a IP camera Supporting the Mater v.15 but I only view the device as a matter bridge and not as a video IP camera.
Can you please let me know where can I access this fetaure?
Hello, thank you very much for your detailed feedback and questions.
Regarding your issue of not being able to find the video and audio stream access points after adding a Matter V1.5-compatible IP camera to iHost, we need to explain the current situation:
Currently, although iHost has upgraded the Matter Bridge SDK to V1.5.0, camera devices are not yet supported on the Matter Hub side. Therefore, the camera you see on the iHost local webpage is only displayed as a “Matter Bridge Device” and will not automatically generate a video preview entry.
If you wish to view the camera’s live feed directly in the iHost local web interface, we recommend adding the camera directly via ONVIF or RTSP protocols. This is currently the recommended method for obtaining live camera monitoring feeds in the iHost control center.
If you wish to view the camera feed on other Matter platforms (such as Apple Home, Google Home, etc.), you can also use iHost’s Matter Bridge feature to sync the camera to these platforms, thereby enabling you to view the video stream on third-party platforms.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us. We will continue to follow up with you. Thank you for your understanding and support!
Hello Thank you for your detelay reply, but once the Matter Support Procolo is the way to unification all the integrations of the smart devices a cross all the platforms I hope that Ihost have the possibility to add a Matter Support Cameras also liked the RTSP already supported
Thank you for your valuable feedback. We will forward it to our R&D team for evaluation. In the meantime, we recommend adding the camera directly via the ONVIF or RTSP protocol to obtain real-time monitoring footage. Should there be any further progress, we will keep you updated in a timely manner. Thank you again for your support!
