eWeLink Web V3.24 Update on Mar 25th -- Camera Viewer & Floor Plan Updates

Hi there, thank you for the suggestions! Please note that the request has been forwarded internally for evaluation. If there is any update about the request, I will keep you posted :grinning:

WEB team is taking over of this feature for further evaluation considering it’s more ease to check all shared user and devices on a bigger page.

I really like the “home energy” option that has been implemented, I consider ewelink web a configuration platform for ewlink cast and therefore I hope and expect that there will be such implementations also on Cast. Some users use Cast exclusively, I personally have configured more installations where end users exclusively use Cast

Thanks for the idea, let’s finish the implement on the WEB side, then move on to the CAST to figure out a proper way to support energy dashboard: )

Hi you can choose a variable energy tariff based on a day of the week use but in a lot of countries the cost variation is timed to day rate and night rate (example 05:00-23:00 rate £0.28----23:00-05:00 rate £0.075). can we have this daily split costing programmed into the variable rate calculations please.

Hey

Thx for the feedback.

We did not offer this feature at first cause devices report energy consumption in different time period, some may only give daily summary, some may reports hourly, which make it hard to calculate accurate and reliable cost based on such variable rate.

But we will reconsider this feature and see if there’s any better way to get this work.

If you have any idea, let us know!

I agree with the previous posts concerning the application of this interface in countries like the United States where many local power companies have implemented a Time of Use (TOU) pricing structure. In my case, there are TOU charging tiers for specific hours in a day which will apply to weekdays. There are also two seasons defined across the year where the TOU rates change. For all “seasons” weekends (Saturday and Sunday) usually default to the lowest pricing tier for the entire weekend. Additionally, in many locations, the TOU will default to the lowest charging tier on US federal holidays - meaning federal holidays are treated like weekend days.

I’ve included screen shots to show a typical structure. Some locations also have tiers which activate after a bulk amount of KWh have been exceeded. I do not have this situation as my TOU pricing tiers are triggered by the time of day during the weekday.

Hey

Thx for sharing! It’s great to learn more about our user and their use case. And as I mentioned earlier in this thread, the feature is under discussion.

Thank you for the detailed screenshots and explanation, like Ward said, we are evaluating some of the improvements about the Energy dashboard, currently we are facing the obstacle that many power monitor devices do not support hourly recording and reporting of power data, and lot of electrical appliances connected in series by wires to a smart switch or outlet which there‘s no way to get the consumption of them.
We have some thoughts, need time to check if the device’s protocal is capable of and evaluation.

hi… my country, Malaysia are used different billing tiered rate, base on consumption.
1st, 200kwh = RM 0.218
2nd, 201 - 300kwh = RM 0.334
3rd, 301 - 600kwh = RM 0.516
4rd, 601 - 900kwh = RM 0.546
my suggestion to have this option.
Thank you

same here at jordan

1 - 300 kwh = 0.05
301 - 600 = 0.100
601 - 900 = 0.200

its based on consumption not based on time

Thx for the info

We will keep updating and consider implementing these features in future versions.

I would like to know if the Energy Dashboard could be implemented on iHost!
As matter now supports energy measurement, it would be interesting to have a Energy Dashboard locally without having to rely on the cloud to be fed from equipment connected to ihost

Hey

Thx for the suggestion. But there’s no such a plan at the moment. iHost and eWeLink CUBE will focus on stability and compatibility in recent versions.

The future or Soon. These are the keywords, but is there any slight progress in the development of eWeLink Web? For more than a month, nothing has happened with it or the eWeLink App. Is there nothing to improve and/or add? Is your product team still considering or what is going on?

Hey

eWeLink app and WEB generally have monthly updates, the date depends on the development and testing process. The next version of WEB is in the internal preview phase now.

Don’t you think that, in addition to internal tests, it would be a good idea to allow a group of volunteers? You will never replicate a real-life situation in developer testing. Moreover, when you work with something on a daily basis, various bugs escape your attention. Reaching out for community support is nothing to be ashamed of. So far, each version has not been without bugs.

More specify or a quick guide would be great, some user mixed up the image’s original address with the page URL cause fail to customize the background.

It’s a beta program that we want to take also, but now the development program is quite tight, according to the frequency of monthly updates, about 3 weeks to develop, about 1 week to test, basically there is no time and resources for public beta, let’s see what are the ways to follow up on it.
