Tailscale is good, but it’s a pity they don’t let the TailScale work as an ‘exit node’. With Home Assistant you can join the network and choose to advertise it as an exit node, then for instance you can go for a coffee and send all traffic encrypted over the private Tailnet VPN. It would be good if you could also do this with the iHost. Not entirely sure why there is the difference. Not everyone has an alternative always on device at home.
I think Sonoff will develop the iHost with future enhancements. I’ve tried to stick with standard firmware on the devices and use regular scene types. For me being able to access the iHost remotley with Tailscale is ok but I would prefer to be able to see and adjust the iHost connected Zigbee devices in the eWeLink phone app.
Let’s move to the original topic,
V3.3 has released on [2024.04.01]
· Early access to Dark mode in the beta stage.
· More device types, especially newly launched products, are now available on the eWeLink WEB!
· Improve scene capabilities, more device types, especially new launches, can be added to trigger or action.
· Fixed some known issues

eWeLink CAST Updates: V2.9 on April 1 - More devices supported
It would be nice if they implemented the option of being able to see the consumption of a specific device on our network but in a specific date range, today you can only see a certain month, being able to enter the start and end date that we want to see would be very good.
Hey
Are you referring to energy consumption? It’s planned.
Most of the functionality is planned. Nothing new. Surprise us for once ![]()
That’s a big update, WIP ![]()
Oh, that is indeed a surprise ![]()
Just remember to fix the bugs in dark mode, because we won’t see the big, fat update.
Sure thing
LOL, big surprises don’t come often, the eWeLink team is the ones I’ve seen that have been good enough to keep iterating.
I think the dark mode is still in beta, hoping fully available asap.
And change background picture and floorplan are my requests.
@ward Is it currently possible to send device status via WebHook?
What I mean is actions - webhooks, so that when a call is made to a given URL, at least one parameter is passed… Online, Open, etc.
I’m guessing this isn’t implemented? ![]()
Plz take took at this feature request, thx
There is no camera control panel on Ewelink web, we can only watch, but we cannot move the camera like in the ewelink application.
Hey
Our product team will consider this feature for future updates.
Thx for the feedback!
I think it’s available already, like when my door sensor opens, then Webhook my another server to inform or trigger other actions.
Have you try what you expected? how’s going?
That’s not quite what I had in mind. ![]()
What you showed is a normal option that has existed for a very long time, actually since ewelink introduced the webhook. And it works.
This function is not about sending the state via the webhook, but about reacting to the state on devices and executing the webhook.
I was talking about something else. About sending device state as a value in the webhook url. And this status would be added automatically and changed depending on the actual status of the device.
For example, as an action, we call a webhook that transfers the device status to us. https://sequematic.com/trigger-custom-webhook/0000/Device_Status_Online
Where “Device_Status_Online” is generated automatically and according to the capabilities and status of the device we want to support. The format of this can be any, depending on what ewelink would implement. Device ID and status, even in the form of numbers or letters.
For example, something like /id87898s005/ Where “id” specifies the specific device and “s” specifies the current live status of the device. And every time a webhook is executed, this information is updated before the call is made.
https://sequematic.com/trigger-custom-webhook/0000/id87898s005/
In this way, one example would be to monitor the device at high speed, for example every 1 minute.
Trigger every minute (currently ewelink doesn’t have this but it can be bypassed) and webhook call cation. And on the other side of receiving the webhook, we get information that can both be a trigger and provide us with the status of a specific device.
Oh, i see, but i think eWeLink will not implement something like this, considering they have opened the APIs for developer, i have found this on there website.https://dev.ewelink.cn/#/
You know… I didn’t have high hopes and I don’t think there will be such a solution, but I just mentioned it. ![]()
I would love a feature that enables me to print out all shared users of devices. I have ‘Pro Plan’ with approx 200 shared users and increasing! Management of these users is important!
